Always baffles me the length people go to avoid quoting or naming me on here when they disagree.

Kenada - having the capability to understand something - isn't justifying it.

Jumping into it late, so didnt want to start swinging after missing most of the debate.

To me, a mass riot started by gangs with people as young as 12 that has gathered pace and hit other cities ON A HALF TERM with similar motivations ie smashing up Curry's, Footlocker, Mobile phone shops etc, smacks of the same kids that hang around the bottom of your street sniffing out some kick off and jumping in.

It's not mate. Far from it. And when you've invested into that education, there's nothing at the end of it. I struggled (and continue to now...) with a top honours degree with an award labelling me as the best final year graduate.

Too much change, for the worse, to an already suffering "lost generation".

I very much doubt that less than 2% of the "rioters " has a degree tho.

I understand your point and its a joke for people like you, you spend 3-4 years of your life, maybe more, improving yourself, then at the end your too clever for McD and no job experience.

But the answer isnt to burn down peoples shops, the answer isnt to strip naked people in the street, if you want to send a message, send a message, burn Goverment Buildings, burn Major stores, but taking away normal peoples cars, jobs, businesses, clothes and to some degree freedom is not the answer.

We had this debate about MENTORING and Joey Barton the other day.

Beginning to think that theirs no hope for some of this.

There was CCTV footage of some lid getting mugged yesterday and them taking stuff out of his back pack then strutting off.


I can't wait till the law catches up with them.

They'll get off due to lack of evidence.

A good point right here. The shops they are damaging is killing the livelihood of the working class people who work in them. You can't claim the moral high ground when you attack people in a similar situation to yourself.
