Have they though? Education is still free, you could get EMA up until this year and the benefits system is certainly about as sufficient as it has ever been. NHS is still free...ish.

It's not mate. Far from it. And when you've invested into that education, there's nothing at the end of it. I struggled (and continue to now...) with a top honours degree with an award labelling me as the best final year graduate.

Too much change, for the worse, to an already suffering "lost generation".

What's happening now was inevitable. You can only kick the back of some ones chair for so long....

Like I said I don't recognise that description at all. And it's not just the students at the unis, either.

Most of my mates did what I did and left school at either 16 or 18. And I know some of them started their own companies, some, me included, have worked 14 and 16 hour shifts or held down three jobs at once and I know one who saved up enough to buy his own house by the time he was 22 and loads of us have been renting since we were teenagers. I moved out from my parents house at 19 and have never taken benefits in my life, even if that meant doing such wonderful jobs as cleaning toilets or selling mobile phones door to door.

I'm not denying their's a problem but to say this kind of thing is represenative of our generation is just plain wrong.

Relax, you're one of the good ones. The ones that wander the streets by ours are not so. A lot of the ones I've worked with are downright workshy.

Many of the rioters are at university or doing college courses. One had even just signed up for the army.

The story that these are all vermin career criminals seems to be crumbling a bit.

A tiny minority mate. They're representative of the lids you'll find walking round the townie with their hands down their trackies.

It just narks me. Like when NIK was saying that this generation are cowards and we wouldn't have the guts to fight WW2 now. Never mind the fact we've fought three fecking wars in the last few years and I know loads of good lads who went out and risked their lives in it. Its true tho, to some degree, when I was in Primary School the cane and slipper was King, then some bleeding hearts decided that was cruelty, then somebody else said Teachers couldnt even touch Children.

In Secondary School some Pupils, the ones whos Parents didnt give a fck did what they liked untill the point they got expelled.

Also growing up we had respect for our Elders, Kids these days consider "older" people as targets.

I blame Human Rights.

But most of all I blame Kenwrong.
