Have they though? Education is still free, you could get EMA up until this year and the benefits system is certainly about as sufficient as it has ever been. NHS is still free...ish.

One of those arrested and appeared in court today was a "Graphic Designer" another was a "university graduate" who's lawyer described as "having previous good character but who became involved in this in a moment of madness".

None of which are local to London but were involved in the London rioting.

I'm not liking the generalisations to be honest. Most people my age aren't massive blerts like the ones out there setting fire to cars. Not even close.

I'm a lazy fecker like myself, and I'd agree my generation lacks the same work ethic of previous ones, but let's now blow anything out of proportion here.

Like I said I don't recognise that description at all. And it's not just the students at the unis, either.

Most of my mates did what I did and left school at either 16 or 18. And I know some of them started their own companies, some, me included, have worked 14 and 16 hour shifts or held down three jobs at once and I know one who saved up enough to buy his own house by the time he was 22 and loads of us have been renting since we were teenagers. I moved out from my parents house at 19 and have never taken benefits in my life, even if that meant doing such wonderful jobs as cleaning toilets or selling mobile phones door to door.

I'm not denying their's a problem but to say this kind of thing is represenative of our generation is just plain wrong.

CH4 News there saying they carried out interviews with The MET and IPCC on Friday and both said there was an 'exchange of gunfire' with Duggan. That's been now ruled out.

The Met and any police force are not legally allowed to give interviews whilst the IPCC are investigating.

No what it means is your parents balanced that with a fair amount of respect for authority, society, yourself and others.

Take that up with CH4 news reporter, Simon Israel. The feller was semi-furious at the vat of shit showered on him in interview. And if he's making it up then the MET can easily refute it. I somehow doubt it like.
