How is he a panic buy? If he was signed today then he would have been a panic buy. He was available, Moyes went for him, he wanted to come, end of.

If we had signed Riquelme, that would have been a panic buy because its on deadline day.

He got Gravesen because he was available, and is a great squad player to have. They have obviously been trying to get a player in but its not easy, but then were all football managers aren't we? first, i said i was unsure about yakubu, but...he hasnt scored over 2 goals after ferbuary in the past 2 seasons...and his last matches with middlesbrough havnt been the best...simply because he cant be arsed wit hthe club anymore. I really, really don't think David Moyes was sat thinking "[Poor language removed], I have to buy somebody to appease the fans. Hmm......I know, I'll get Tommy G back here!"

Get a grip Dom/Cal!!! As shown with Fernandes, we can't make a player sign. It isn't that we aren't in for quality players, it isn't as easy as agreeing a fee and the player signs, he has a say in it as well!

Moyes tried to bring in Fernandes, a player who was for the future (lets see, 9 games, 7 lackluster performances and 2 goals, 1 a tap in that AJ would have otherwise had, 1 which showcased his talents), got stabbed in the back. Suddenly is back to square 1. Get Gravesen in as COVER, a SQUAD PLAYER, as a cover in case nothing else pans out, at least we have a player who has a recognized pedigree. It seems nothing has worked out, so we are not SETTLING for Gravesen. He will contribute to the team.

Like he contributed to celtics season? I cant wait to see him back in an everton shirt, along side lee carsley, stubbsey, the classics...contribute to the team though? mmm maybe, maybe in the cup matches, give players a rest, let gravesen be the main froce in teh cup matches...but in the premiership...he wont contribute much, unless we have 3 or 4 of our midfield injured at the same time...

I give up...yes dylan, most of this is just fustration at another failed promise from wyness and moyes...although my mind is set on ym opinion against gravesen

looking back on the transfer window...we made good signings...jagielka and baines the highlight of it all, but i still am dissappointed about not signing a left winger...i still dont trust osman to be reliable throughout the season...

same, including gravesen aswell, i think we need an entirely skillfull midfield, so that includes osman, arteta, pienaar and maybe even VD< depending on what moyes does with him...and cahill as well cos he just class...

Gravesen will do a good job, hes here on a short term deal and thats only going to be a positive thing for us, he will want to prove himself again, and we all know hes got ability.

He's a good player and im looking forward to seeing him again.
