Robben out of World Cup?

I probably will, but that could also be down to the fact that natural wingers are not really cultivated as much as they used to.

I'm basically basing much of my opinion on watching him last season in La Liga and when he played for Chelsea. He may well have matured at Bayern and maybe not fair for me to base my opinion without viewing him in last seasons Bundesliga.

Anyway, he's out isn't he?

I'm talking about players who operate in wide positions, they don't have to be natural wingers. Robben's current position is on the right cutting inside onto his left foot and driving inside with the ball. Outside of Messi, Ronaldo and Ribery I'm struggling. Ronaldinho of a few years ago was a better player but despite his good form this season he's not the player he was.

He did win footballer of the year in Germany and guided them to a League title, cup and Champions League final. I think he's always been a major talent, injuries have been his major problem during his career.

Robben is easily one of the best players in the world for me. If he's on form, he is capable of being the star player on a pitch including any of the world's best players, including Messi and Ronaldo. You can't say that about many players.

I agree. I'm glad it looks like he'll be traveling to South Africa now. If Holland get out of the group stages, which is extremely likely, he's a player who can take them far.

He has really turned it on for Bayern this year, on his day (which is more often than not recently) he is an outstanding world class winger who I would love to see play for Everton, but probably wont like. Unless he's about 34 or something.

GIIIINNNNOOOOLLLLLLA.
