This fallout cost us alot of money

Compo to Martinez
Compo to Southampton
Niasse I'm still! Fuming with this buy from Martinez
Just pay the fella and move on.

Low league finishing for 2 Seasons cost us at least 15m I would say, compensation package will add another 5 to 10m.
So that's 20-25 million he cost the club. I wish he never set foot in Goodison ever again. That's putting it mildly.

And I haven't add in Naisse transfer.

Just because the article says the compo has yet to be agreed, doesn't necessarily mean he is after the full £10m. Just an eye catching headline to get you interested by quoting the top figure possible. If indeed he is after the full £10m though he will go seriously down in my estimations.

Just read this in the papers.. what a shambles... thoughts ?

blues personally i thought he was paid off already, hopefully moshiri sues him for breach of contract or something if they had a clause in where he promised champions league

... hopefully moshiri makes him penny less

yet some blues think he is still a 'nice guy' when he has audacity to do this:

The former Goodison Park boss has yet to reach a settlement agreement with his former employers who last week confirmed the appointment of his successor Ronald Koeman.

Martinez had over three years remaining of a contract worth around £3.5million a year at Everton when he was sacked in May.

Ronald Koeman was appointed Everton manager on Tuesday, much to delight of Evertonians

Although there were initial discussions over a compromise the two parties are heading for an independent hearing next week as the 42-year-old Spaniard's legal team push for his contract to be paid in full.

Everton will seek a middle ground for Martinez who last week held discussions with Anderlecht over a return to management.

The Catalonian's tenure at Goodison Park started brightly, he guided Everton to fifth place as they achieved their record points tally in the Premier League.

His second season was very poor, failure to balance the Europa League with domestic duties saw the Toffees slump to 11th, and the last few months of his tenure were abysmal.

The Belgian side have since appointed Rene Weiler with Martinez looking to stay in the Premier League or try La Liga.

I hope Mosh drops it on his docile head and flattens him.

Of cours he's after the full amount! If he sues for ten he might get five or six! If he sues for five or six he might get two or three!

Pay the dougturd and forget about him forever!

Hope this helmet gets absolutely nothing. He took us to a place where it was widely seen as a step down moving from Southampton to us. He's made enough money out of us for being a mess of a manager.

It's ok, I've been doing some reading of the contract he was given, and we can have Martinez on a gross misconduct charge, regarding the signing of Niasse.

Martinez wants 10m, we want 13m back for Niasse.

It's our fault for giving him such a large contract. He obviously didn't want to leave. Why shouldn't we pay him it in full? It's a CONTRACT. Lids I was fed up of him as much as everyone else but this is a complete non story. The problem isn't Martinez it's the ridiculous money in football at the moment.

Agree with what you say. The real problem is these clauses are a legacy from days when players/managers weren't paid a bleedin fortune. So-called Loyalty bonuses and having to force players to submit transfer requests to escape them are an anachronism that is purely down to the fact that agents run the game. I've met a few football agents in the course of work, and whilst some are actually really decent guys (usually lawyers or accountants by trade) the most seem to be uneducated chancers who make an absolute fortune on the blag.

Yes, I am jealous.
