Leicester again...you could say that about every club.
no pal. They spent less money than most and are top of the league so reckon that's a proper example if you ask me. You would argue with yourself in a phone box , wouldn't make you look anymore of a clown at this stage

Zat you're honestly making a show of yourself trying to excuse Martinez based on money.

Moyes must have been the greatest manager in history to get 4th on the finances he had available.

It might correlate on fifa 16 but the reality is different.

How so?

im not slating moyes at all and have posted many times that he overachieved. This isnt a comparison of the two.

Im simply saying that if a manager has a budget which is the highest in the league he should be expected to win the league....if budget is the lowest then expect relegation.

Were in the middle....

Although there is evidence that changing managers leads to further problems more often than not.
It has a tendency to gloss over other issues that need sorting

...respectfully mate, I can only now really see one issue that needs sorting. Should add that I'm not overly happy to feel this way about it either, I just do...

Without shadow he has pretty well proven he's a manger afforded the luxury of not really having to manage, the locker is empty. One of the mainstays of being a great manager is adaptability; he has none and has proven so time after time after time. He has had plenty of opportunity to alter this mindset for the greater good, again, he has chosen/opted not to primarily because of his unwavering belief in his 'philosophy'...

Yesterday pretty well killed the last bit of fealty I had with him, as I mentioned to you in a previous, I feel he handled it appallingly...again it was an opportunity for him to show some wherewithal whilst being essentially on the back foot. He could have shown a bit of steel & grit. He didn't, he simply faffed, as per, then threw blame about, as per. In example...league form being sidelined by the HYPE surrounding the semi?

WHAT? WHAT HYPE? Has there been any? We don't even know who we're playing FFS...

At what point does he himself become accountable? Well, we know the answer, it seems he doesn't, as perfectly illustrated via the Elliot B article on the GOT homepage, sobering stuff indeed...

I read the WATFORD managers interview in relation to their dip. Admirable stuff and an entire WORLD away from the RM ego-tinged, self-protecting waffle.

He is in a HUGE CATCH 22 scenario at the moment...he knows this. Not even the FA cup win can protect his stock now I fear.

And there are still those suggesting that the MOSH needs time to make his mind up? Really? He's supposedly been watching on with a view to an 'in' for 18 months...

I reckon he'll have well seen enough soon don't you.

The best scenario, for me at least, and for BOB I'm sure - is an FA CUP win (pleeeease) and a parting of the ways based on RM 'wishing to seek new challenges' perhaps. Amicable and with some of that faltering stock of his intact.

But who knows eh...

If only football was that clear cut. It isn't and thats what makes it brilliant.

LEICESTER?

I think hes a manager who needs to get in top players to fit his system and compete.

Id give him the summer and see how things are going next season.
Every manager around would say they can get better results with top players but he has top players now and is not doing enough with them. It's the system thing that worries me. I just don't see it working ever in the PL and if Pep thinks he can do the same at City then he's in for a major shock. But then again Pep will have the sense to adapt rather than flog a dead horse.

What got misquoted?? nothing from what i seen his quotes where intact. the headline might have been tweaked - but not out of context.

If he wasnt misquoted or the comments werent taken out of context then fair enough.

However the manager has said otherwise and stated that baines has apologised for putting himself in that position.

Thats the info we have.

But you have to look at a range of things Zat

Barkley probably underpaid relative to if he moved clubs
Stones and Coleman the same
And many more. We have had a pay structure for years

while other clubs overpay we get value for money

If Barkley is on 40k and delph is on 80k at city does that mean delph is twice the player Barkley is??
