We all want to batter the RS at Anfield, but we never do. Great if it happens but demand he's sacked if we leave with a 1-1 draw in an away derby match? Nah.

I want him sacked now. He needs to start winning games and that one is a key fixture for him to restore any faith. Wish people would read posts instead of cherry picking.

This is the position he has put himself in.

There are legitimate reasons for starting Oviedo over Baines tomorrow.

But if he does do that, he will be open to charges of vindictiveness.

Instead of just agreeing with Baines about something that was quite obvious to every man and his dog.

And pledging to do sommat about it.
Tim Howard as left back will be a greater indicator of a fall out

Over the top perhaps, but emotions are running high currently, seemingly with every aspect of the club.

People are taking everything personally.

I think a few people need to take a step back and realise that we're all blues here. We may not all agree, but still....

A cup win, highly unlikely at the moment, would make it a little harder to be so vocal about wanting him gone. But that's the problem with this Everton team under him. So many times this season ive been dragged back in only to be fuming again the following week. A cup win wont make that go away I feel. He has to show he can manage a league campaign so for me these last 8 games are all cup finals for him. That Anfield trip coming up is the one I'm looking at. Thats the game where he has to prove he's the man to take is into next season. A fluky underserved 1-1 wont do it.

I read your whole post and I agree that our league games are all cup finals, but don't agree with your point that a 1-1 at Anfield 'won't do it'. Whats wrong with that?

The most bizarre excuse of all, and there are a lot of them, is that the leveling of the playing field when it comes to finances has somehow put Everton at a disadvantage. How anyone can conclude this is totally beyond me?

Everton were at a disadvantage throughout the Moyes years, as we were bottom of the net spend league. This disadvantage no longer exists, we are no longer bottom of the net spend league, and are spending considerable sums of money in each transfer window without having to sell our best players in order to cover accounting losses.

The fact that Everton are now badly regressing to become bottom half cannon fodder at a time when we finally have an opportunity to compete on a level playing field is what makes everything doubly frustrating. It's clear that Martinez and his insane nonsense is not going to succeed in the Premier League. We need to sack him off in the summer and start employing the current manager of the richest club in the world.

Placed in context nothing is wrong with that. Maybe it was a silly thing for me to highlight but the point is that it does nothing for him in my eyes simply scraping a result. Its the overall picture. Results and performances to go with them are what's required to save his arse.

I think a lot will depend on the reaction from the players/media in the coming weeks/semi final result. My own personal opinion sadly is that Martinez won't be sacked until at the earliest, Xmas time next season. Moshiri won't be pulling the trigger until it looks like he's given him enough time in Kenwrights eyes.

Sadly be prepared to buckle yourselves in lads for more lame performances, lack of game management and decent subs, wasted transfer budget on crab sideways passing midfielders that'll be played out wide and more bottom half finishes and underachievement.

I'd take 1-1 right now. The next 2 are must wins as they are in worse form than us. Lose any of these 2 and it's curtains for me.

For me we've had the good performances without the results. If we had 7 scrappy wins & a draw at the RS it would show something positive for me, that Martinez had started prioritising results over anything else.
