Just read some of Roberto' s post match comments. He sais "On another day we would have scored a winner", what other day ? We don't score winners.
He seems to be putting our poor league form down to the FA Cup semi-final, we've been poor for two of the three years he has been here. Show a bit of moral fortitude and resign, you are out of your depth.

Martinez thinks hes playing championship manager. He needs to reboot his pc in the hope the match he lost/drew a few mins ago will now be a win. Everything is in the making with him. Clueless, idiotic and deluded

Big Joe and Dunc could not possibly do any worse than what is happening now IMO.

We have nowt to lose.

Absolutely nowt.

Cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war......again.

We can even get The Farm to cut a new Cup Final song

One hundred percent this...
We have nothing to lose if El Bob is dismissed tonight/tomorrow or Monday.
We're not going to be relegated.
But equally, and it galls me to say this, but right now the Derby and semi outcomes are not looking favourable.
Big Joe, together with maybe DF/DU might, just might pull a rabbit of biblical proportions out of a hat.

14th (it's getting like the Walter Smith era now) place on 39 points.Let's break out the champagne and give Martinez a 10 year extension on his contract. We are progressing so well under this regime. We are making phenomenal progress.

Not sure I'm qualified to answer, but yes if Royle was up for it, Ferguson would be and I suppose Unsworth could be called upon.

At this stage of the season I think it's a question of clearing some heads, and telling the players to go and play for the blue shirt and their futures - can't think of any who would be better suited to deliver that message.

It must be hard for Roberto in some respects because he's been so positive about everything that if he tried to change his approach with the players they'd probably know the games up if they don't already.

Royle could come in and tell them how it is, fire them up and get them to play for the shirt or drop them. Seems the only way for me at the moment (until the summer.)

Here's some optimism for a change:

Have a feeling that Chelsea game was more down to the players and the connection they feel with our great club. They played their hearts out and showed the world how good we actually are. We beat a strong Chelsea side 2-0, and truly deserved it.

What I'm trying to say is that's down to the players wanting to end our long trophy drought, not because of Roberto's tactics. He's as clueless now as he was then. We will win the Cup this year. Why? Because we're the best team left, and when our players give it their all we will beat the two teams in our way.

Now here's some food for thought:

The players know they won't go down, so only give it their all in the cups. Lucky enough we have the most quality of any team left, so our all will be enough to win. What if- a big what if- next season a new manager comes in and actually gets us playing a style so that we don't only have to rely on our players's qualities but get our tactics right too?

The only question with that train of thought, if the players think that the FA cup will save Martinez's job, will they win it? Or will they do what city players did to Mancini and just not turn up to put to the final nail in the coffin.

A big big reason for getting rid of roberto for me.

i just dont think he'd realistically sack him unless he lost the semis

Yes, but you said he wouldn't be "allowed" to sack him.

That bloke can do whatever he wants to do at EFC.

But I will tell you something for nothing, Aaron.

We do not have a cat in hell's chance in that semi under the current regime.

If Bobby and that waste of space assistant are still there, we are toast, pal

By 'allowed' i mean allow himself to do so, but even then he'd still have to convince the remaining shareholders / directors to sack him until he has full control.

Well pundits have spent a long time suggesting the semi finals have effected all those involved. I've not heard him give any more credence to this than anyone else but it isn't just some invention of his.
