You never finished your first sentence mate:An extract from an email I sent to Robert Elstone dated - 09/05/2013
I've been 'Martinez-In' for a long time. I believed he moved the club forward in a good direction and showed us what we can achieve....European Football. I'm not into knee jerk decisions or pointing the finger at the manager; however I am now thinking the same as most of you. Too many wins turned upside down with possibly the best players we've ever had in my memory.
I'm not into the idea of sacking managers part way through seasons unless it's an absolute crisis situation.
However, even if we win a trophy with him, I'm of the opinion we look for a new man in the summer.
I've said nothing new here, but I thought I'd share my opinion: that of a 'Martinez in' to a 'Martinez out' guy.
Not our fault if we've played an away game less than everybody else. Even if we do balls it up at the pit, there will still only be 3 points between us and the top 4 in the AWAY form table.
I really can't understand how people are arguing about this........ I fully expect us to get at least one more away win this season, possibly 2.
This is a true story.
Steven Spielberg has a compound type of a thing out on Long Island, NY.
He is only there a couple months per year but there is a permanent staff employed looking after the house and the grounds.
My sister got a job there for about a year, doing general housekeeping jobs, during a time in her life where she worked her way around the States and Oz.
She eventually came back to Blighty and applied for several jobs, one of them a production job in the BBC.
The interview panel asked her the usual type of questions then asked her about her C.V., focusing on her time working for Speiberg.
The way she tells it their eyes lit up when she said she met him and there were no more questions asked.....just a half hour chat about Spielbeg and my sister hammed it up with tales of Connery and Hanks among others calling out for a visit or her answering the phone and Donald Trump or that well known Evertonian, Sly Stallone, being on the other end of it, looking for Steven.
First thing next morning the BBC called her and said the job was hers
Should make a game of it, what lies will martinez say this week?
FA cup semi final one- I thought we played phenominally well and was unlucky not to come away with the points our performance deserved on wednesday (liverpool 7-1 winners,)
....I can, could it be because no such table applicable or with meaning to anything at all has ever existed nor never will?
That might be it.
He spends more time thinking of excuses than he does tactics mate. The DERBY one's a shoe-in = 'I felt perhaps the players had one eye on the semi-final...' blah-ball-piffles, all that...
The SEMI one's gonna be = 'I felt as though ALL the players had one eye on JOSE...so bye then...'
If we lose tomorrow he needs to get them bladdered and head to a lappy's. Or paintballing. Or go karting.
I'm still Martinez in.
Lads?
Ladies?
Come at me.
I'd pay money to watch Besic paintballing. If we lose tomorrow he needs to get them bladdered and head to a lappy's. Or paintballing. Or go karting.
