This might sound weird but when Martinez took over I had a premonition that it would end badly. I had a vision in my mind of post match interviews looking defeated and taking on a job too big. But I got swept up in it all through it 2013/14 and my premonition was forgotten. But I did have this feeling it wasn't going to work

Everton under Martinez is heartbreaking. How can this squad perform as dreadful as they do every week?

I haven't seen a performance that bad in my lifetime, especially in a derby. Everyone who "contributed" to that performance should be sleepless tonight thinking about how poor it was.

I think it's been evident for some time but even more so tonight, the fitness of our players is shocking. I know you can say some were playing half-fit tonight (Oviedo) but in general our levels seem to be so far off the top clubs.

We came out strong today but looked absolutely knackered after 20 mins, you compare that to Spurs the other night who did not stop that pressing game for 90 mins. It's another marker against Martinez and his coaching as far as I'm concerned and as big a worry as anything else.

You expect to be out-played with 10 men but you don't expect players to be struggling to get to a ball.
