Point being it won't be headline news. And nobody wishes to be associated with failure, it's an old political strategy

But everyone already knows that Martinez has failed to deliver and that the majority of us appear to be certain that he is going pretty soon if not already.

Announcing something today wouldnt exactly hide it now would it - it might not be top of the list in terms of headline news but it would still be up there - but that simply acheives nothing.

In fact it would probably go to the top of the insensitive and crass list of news given what else is occupying the football media focus of the city today - maybe that Scum newspaper that should be shut down forever would be glad to run with a Martinez sacking headline tonight?

Just can't see it happening myself.

??????????? Not sure what your point is? Hide it - why and how ? it isnt as though no-one would notice if Roberto wasnt in the dugout on Saturday now is it.
Lol

Imagine that. He turns up for press conference, not in dugout for the game and then turns up again for the interview afterwards like nothing is going on

The "board has no ambition" argument is completely past its sell by date. Same people currently, yes, but critically a new major shareholder/soon to be owner who is massively ambitious.

Boards take instructions from their owners, they are not autonomous.

True.

Its a good job we have someone on this forum who actually knows what he's talking about.

Thank god for @The Esk

The key balancing act for Moshiri is balancing risk versus ambition.

He's not going to do a Lerner and just be pure stupid.

Mate, I asked you before to stop the continual tagging of posters. Esk is too polite/busy to tell you himself, so pack it in.
