ready for pre season everybody. Anyone for some crossbar challenge.

Also, look at his language when he was talking about Howard, almost identical:

“For the keepers at any club, it is important to support each other,” he said. “You are training together every day.

“For me, it is impossible to have any problems with Tim. He is a really good guy and so professional. He is a great example for everyone here at Everton, especially for me.

“It has been so important for me to have Tim around at this moment in my career.

If the club were running a pro-Martinez agenda by having a player talk about him they'd have put up Baines, Barry or Jags - the senior professionals whose words carry weight.

Nothing to worry about.
Also if the club were going for a pro-Martinez piece they'd put Martinez in the title. That interview could easily have been titled something like Joel: Martinez is so important for this club but instead they called it make me number one for good and you only see it mentions Martinez if you read the article in full.

Fair few clubs have announced pre season fixtures, anyone think its telling that we haven't? Dont think the Club will let him have any say if they are planning on getting rid.

I 100% want him gone but I just feel so damn uncomfortable with Saturday.

It just feels like something that can be completely avoided, save the fans being upset and protesting, and as horrible as it is to get sacked (ignoring the millions he'll make), the fella will be getting attacked from all sides of the ground and completely embarrassed.

It's a super awkward position I find it.

It won't happen. It was supposed to be toxic against Southampton. There'll be some dissent for sure, but nowhere near the level one or two are suggesting.

I'm not concerned by Robles words, they're almost reflective rather than forward thinking. Looks to me like he's putting on record his appreciation of Martinez, in getting him to this position and then his desire to keep the no. 1 slot.

Nothing to see here.

"Martinez is important for this club......is .perfect for this club..is .a top manager....". Nb, all 'present' tense.

If this was on Joel's blog (if he has one) or if he'd tweeted it I wouldn't care less. On the club site?

Really hope you're right about jogging on....

He just supporting his manager which he allowed. Robles words won't mean anything to us. It's more like what about baines or jags or even lukaku. How do they feel?

We've been a PR disaster for years as a club but not even a media team like ours would be that blatant ;)
