I simply don't understand the logic of keeping Martinez as manager any longer. By the end of what he himself declared to be a defining week, we'd been thoroughly defined by Liverpool, with United throwing in a few synonyms. Now the club are adding a few entries. Regardless of what is happening behind the scenes - and I assume there's plenty going on, else why should Moshiri have gotten involved in the first place - it's vital to present a strong, positive image. We - hopefully - aren't clueless, and yet we look like we are, to fans, players, and football in general. Martinez seems a decent enough man, but he has failed. Simply terminate his contract, put Sheedy and/or Unsworth in charge for the remaining games, and appoint in the Summer. It seems blindingly obvious.
