I spent a period on the fence, quite a long time actually....

Then, as tipping point, I recalled that BOB had once declared it a travesty that TITUS BRAMBLE wasn't in the ENGLAND squad.

Sort of sent me over that did.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...inez-insists-Bramble-deserves-England-up.html
If Wigan Athletic's 4-1 defeat at Blackpool in the Carling Cup on Wednesday raised a few eyebrows, that is nothing compared to manager Roberto Martinez's claim Titus Bramble is due an England call-up.

'My impression of Titus is that he is in the perfect moment of his career,' Martinez said of his 28-year-old defender. 'He has an international future without a doubt. He takes pride in keeping clean sheets.'

Perfect moment...

Takes pride in...

plus ça change!

Anyone thinking this fraud is going to change is, once again, ignoring all the evidence in front of them

I believe we have regressed season on season with Roberto in charge. I'm just thankful we didn't have Europa league football this year.

It appears to me that fitness levels are not what they should be which would go some way to explaining the late capitulations we often see in games. It might also explain the amount of 'soft tissue' injuries our players seem to pick up.The team is clueless without the ball as well and it just stinks to high heaven. This is in stark contrast to Moyes who had Everton well drilled and super fit. I'm no fan of Moyes but he is a better manager than Martinez. And no, I wouldn't have Moyes back either.

As I said, I believe we are regressing and vault me on this but if Bobby is in charge this time next year then it wouldn't surprise me to see us in a relegation battle. I can see our decent players jumping ship, and Bobby bringing in a raft of panic buys. I hope I'm wrong.

What is giving me hope at the moment is the new investor and the murmurings from fans and the wider football public in general regarding Roberto's poor record. It might be the beginning of the end for Bobby, and I hope it is.

I will say give him the last 10 games or whatever to show that leopards can change their spots but after that we need to quickly order that taxi and get shut.

Martinez has shown what hes about. No need for another season of blaming everything but his tatics. As people have said before no NSNO with him in charge. A new face will be a breath of fresh air for players and fans no doubt. Who will that be depends on the board selling the club. Anyone worth their salt should jump at the chance managing a team with the potential we have. Martinez has taken us as far as we can. No blame on him,he's tried his best but his limitations are plain to see and opposition managers are feeding on it

Beautiful, voice of reason post. Total sense and rams home the key message - OUT

We didn't even defend particularly well in his first season. I seem to remeber us always winning in the last 10 minutes when we were behind.

There were signs of what's happening this season when we played Newcastle at Goodison, 3 nil up at HT and cruising, scraped a 3-2 win in the end.

I don't think it's we are bad at defending crosses, I think we are defending too many crosses because we don't shut wide players down. How many crosses do people put in against us? I mean Mori and Jags are pretty good in the air?

If we ever had a great chance of doing something special, this year was our year and we've royally blown it. We are kidding ourselves if we think we're going to beat chelsea at home. And I think we'll struggle get in the top 10.

Yeah - I remember watching that Newcastle game. I actually felt sorry for them at half time. It was so one sided that it was embarrassing.

The first one I remember us totally capitulating, was the Arsenal home game last season. We were 2-0 up with seven minutes left, and they got it back to 2-2.

would we all trust bobby with 100 million to spend this summer??? more to the point do we think moshiri will? remember he will have Martinez's biggest alli, BK, whispering in his ear...

I think Bilic was quoted at the weekend as saying that Chelsea could replace Costa with Lewandowski but the standard wouldn't be all that different. City could try to improve on Aguero but they'd only gain small margins, if anything.

Whereas the tv money has allowed West Ham to take a giant leap with the signing of Payet, Stoke have taken great strides with the purchase of Shaqiri and Palace are infinitely stronger with Cabaye as their focal point.

We haven't regressed at all. We're stronger too with the signings of Deulofeu and Funes Mori but the league has become so competitive that we've been punished for every mistake. We can give anyone a game and it's very rare for us to lose by more than a single goal. If we can turn defeats into draws and draws into wins, the league is so condensed that we'll soon fly up the table.

Koldrup can head a ball better than Mori.

Careful how you worship false gods.

Think we would all (well most) would trust him with whatever the kitty was....transfering it onto the pitch is another thing.

This weekend is enormous for RM and how he stands with the Evertonian in the street.

Win and much of the frailty we have seen will be put to the back shelf as the club and its fans focus on potential silverware.

Lose an.............?
