To restart - for me, if we can retain the stars such as Ross, Lukaku and Stones, then I'd see how he spends in the summer and give him till late November (barring utter catastrophe in the meantime).

If it's looking like the young stars are offski, then get rid and recruit a proven, top drawer manager who will convince them to stay. Jose or Pellerini level, names on a postcard etc...

For some fans the moment has passed, for others not. I'm currently on the fence, having been on both sides in the last week.

Also, does the new investment change things on this front?

Yeah there's atime and place mate you're right. But if somethings not working why stew on it. Try and improve. He'll play the same stuff next season as this, said it himself. Why prolong the inevitable?.

He's been good in the transfer market so far so I'd be inclined to say give him the chance, if it doesn't work out then chances are he's signed good players that any further manager can work with.

That's what will happen. He will start off next season as Manager. Up to him from there and if wins don't start coming he will have no reason to complain.

I would say no,but a few more home defeats and things could get too toxic to keep him.

Unless we are threatening a relegation place then absolutely not mate. Which I've trying impolitely to tell hysterical "fans" wanting his head on a stick.

Firing him now would also open the door wide open for our best players to agitate for a move before any new man is installed too.
