Stats stats stats. First of all how many of them are against premier league opposition? Even with Martinez at the helm I wouldn't expect us to throw two goal leads to lower league sides. Then it hasn't includes games where we've drawn after being 2 up (just as bad really). You've only included games from this season, off the top of my head there's also the Arsenal home game last year.

Mate, you constantly use stats and then claim that people who support Martinez ignore them???

When we claim that the football has improved and quality of it, you point to stats and say we have none to back it up?

Does it matter who they are against? I have not only included games from this season, but yes missed the Arsenal game so that is 4. I can't think of anymore off the top of my head but there could well be.

And as @sageyefc said it's over his three years with us.

The only stat I look at is 12th in the league. And it's all down to our goals conceded. We are doing everything we should be doing at the other end.

It's not all down to goals conceded though.

Had Lukaku converted that penalty the other day we wouldn't be 12th...

Had Coleman not missed from a yard out vs Swansea we would have got a point.

Had Barkley not missed two golden chances vs WBA we would have not lost to them etc etc.

All the chances that were missed in the first half vs Norwich, and that sitter that Del missed in the League Cup semi...

Our goalscoring has been great but it's also part of the issue. Our defence has been shocking, but had we put even half of the chances we had created away then we'd be much better off also as we would have turned the majority of our draws into wins...

The defence is a major issue but the attack - as good as it has been - can also be improved and has cost us as well...

I believe we make our own fortune. There is no "what if" in real life. I agree the team may get a few more points if luck was on our side but the problem is down to the defending tactics, significantly.

Mate I have said nothing about luck or fortune???

I'm saying that the attack isn't blameless either...

The defence is a huge issue but to balance that out had we put away the chances in games like Norwich and Palace etc then the games would have been over and the defence had nothing to worry about... it works both ways.

No mate, I'm all for stats but not selective usage. Yes we've only thrown away a 2 goal lead to lose once in the prem but we've thrown 2 points away a lot of times which is not included. The advantage scoring first gives you means that we shouldn't with the team we have be throwing many leads away no matter how many goals in front we are. The number of points dropped though from winning positions is a league high

We'll have to agree to disagree mate.

Only the Leicester and City scored more than us. Only the bottom 4 and Bournemouth conceded more than us.

Chances get missed by every team each week.

Granted. It's hard to take all our chances. Some went in some gone to row z. That's life. I do think the team "can score" this season though just can't defend which costs us.

God I´m tired of this we are a young team rubbish. In the three years since he´s been here he hasn´t developed a single academy player into a genuine first team player. Barkley was already involved with the first team while Stones and Galloway were both bought for substantial fees and neither are currently first choice. United, Tottenham, Arsenal to name but three regularly give opportunities to their homegrown young players, we don´t. It´s just another of Bobby´s self created myths. It is generally recognised that we currently have excellent players at under 21 and under 18 level but none of them ever get a chance bar in an occasional dead rubber when we used to play in Europe. And that´s the next myth that needs bursting that he´s a risk taker. The reality is he´s one of the most conservative coaches in the premier league who rarely changes the system and never takes a chance on young players not even in the League cup or in FA cup ties against second division opposition. The team that collapsed so spectacularly against West Ham is not a young team by premier league standards.

Robles 25, Coleman 27, Jagielka 33, Mori 25, Stones 22, Oviedo 26, McCarthy 25, Lennon 28, Barkley 22, Mirallas 28, Lukaku 22.

Most have been playing top level football for a considerable period of time and youth is not an excuse.

Manchester United have played numerous academy players this year and continue to do so and yet they are way above us in the league. If only Bobby would take some responsibility I might be willing to give him a chance but there´s only so much [Poor language removed] talk you can listen to.

No as I said we have thrown away 2 points only 3 times (Arsenal - as you pointed out, Bournemouth and Chelsea). So yes, they are included...

As I also said, that stat doesn't take into account points dropped from winning positions. It just states that we have taken a 2 goal lead 33 times under RM and on 29 times have gone on to win the game...

Quite honestly, how I feel about Martinez and our current position is dictated a little by which side I get out of the bed in the morning. This morning I sprang out of the right side. Martinez is Jack Sparrow, taking risks, living on the edge, playing a cavalier, swashbuckling, devil may care, high risk brand of footie. High risk, potential high reward (which I grant you, we're yet to see). The odds are stacked against and the storm is lashing his face, like a bunch of doubter, plotter, naysayers. But he's going to right the ship and steer the good ship told you so through to the promised treasure. If he doesn't, fair enough, but the journey is a bit more exciting than the Hull Zeebrugge ferry ride we were on with Moyes (who I liked and still hold in high regard). So I'm in the stay camp. For now.
