You're trying to downplay something we've rarely done.

I don't know were you get that from my post. Firstly I predicted we'd beat Chelsea and I'm backing us to go and on and win it. I know your part of the funboy three. See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil but relax mate. No need to be so paranoid.

Sorry lads it's over. I'll doff my cap to the intensity and frenzy of the anti Martinez campaign but it turns out you're just spotty virgins fuming at Everton for not halting your self loathing on the weekend lads.

There's a bigger picture with context and if you can't see it then Newcastle is that way lads.

points north*

Bill's words must have felt like a sharp slap in the chops.

I almost feel sorry for them. Another campaign ends in defeat, as Everton march to Wembley and Bill high fives Roberto.

No need to be rude mate. How could I get that from your post? Downplaying another semifinal appearance is exactly what you did in your post...making it seem like we regularly achieve trips to Wembly...which is simply not true.

Come on lads, let's make it this easy. Come out with your hands raised above your heads and wearing the colours black and white so we can identify you. If you don't show yourselves then we'll raze you like a Warsaw suburb.

Uncanny resemblance to the end of the Easter Rising on it's centenary.

Which turned out only to be the beginning...

I reject that position that Martinez has no excuses to not win the FA Cup now. How entitled can you be - and in a season when just about any team can beat just about any other. It's an arrogance that'll haunt us if we succumbed to it. Also, it's as if Martinez has none of the burden of history to secure a trophy that all his other predecessors were able to get away with carrying and failing with.

Can he manage us to a cup win? Yes. Should it be expected? No.

Nothing but the best is good enough, unless ofc your martinez in which case 60 points, oh wait 55 points, oh wait errrrm what points total it has been revised down to this week Dave?
And can't be expected to win a cup when the the teams likely to be left in are us, Palace, Watford and West Ham, yeah that's the spirit Dave, we can't expect little old Everton to possibly win 2 games in a row aginst those calibre of teams can we?

All his other predecessors? Why not be honest mate, you mean Moyes, because of his predecessors who failed to secure a trophy since Kendall mark 1 we have

Harvey - sacked after less than 3 years in charge
Kendall mark 2 - sacked after 3 years
Walker - sacked after less than a year
Royle - 3 years but won the fa cup
Kendall mark 3 - 1 year
Smith - sacked in his 4th season

How exactly where any of them getting away with not winning anything - and not even counting the fact the club was in a far worse state in every way off the field in those managers reigns

But thats all by the by, the bold bit says everything about your stance with martinez mate, not willing to set him any target that he should achieve and even the low targets you do - you often move the golaposts to make it easier, the players go into the semi hoping to win then they will have already lost the game, lets hope Martinez has more balls than you do and tells them he expects them to win the game

Funny seeing you becoming a Kenwright supporter Dave, wonder what the vaults hold in regards to what you've said about him in the past

Bill forever being the showman, i take everything he says with a pinch of salt, I'm sure a review of the club is happening from top to bottom. Judge the manager at seasons end, No cup and a dire league placing then Bill can talk all he wants about Martinez, he will be out on his ear.

Another season of home defeats, crap defensive play & blowing winning leads beckons! Yay!
