You guys, he needs more time. He's only had two whole seasons and over 2/3 of this season. He will lead us to greatness guys...

21 wins in 67 matches. That is enough time. He has 9 games and a cup to play for. Failing it just sack him in May.

No, I dont think that's going to be the conclusion drawn by those who run the club. You heard what they said last week. A loss against Arsenal isn't going to change matters.

The owners appear to accept his view that the squad is in a developmental stage and they're going with that given the cup exploits this season.

It's a poor result again. but we know it'll all go quiet after the next win.

In short: a lot of fume (again) same result: RM still Everton manager and continuing to be so next season.

So we're not just accepting that we're a mid-table club, but actually settling for it too?

@davek your reminding me of the band on the titanic, keeping on playing the same old tune as a big [Poor language removed] off hole appears in the ship and it starts sinking, but hey at least we are entertaining, 8 times this season the away fans have been absolutely [Poor language removed] entertained with getting 3 points at Goodison.

Martinez out, he is a relagation calibre manager and his record shows it

Putting all that aside, I am a bit concerned at his ability to motivate a team.

You didn't like last weeks performance and result?

Ok.

You implied that we show that inconsistency regularly. When in reality we all know it's about 20% brilliant and 80% average to utter crap.

Every chance we could finish a league season in 15th with a £50m rated striker up front and a squad full of internationals.

Utterly pathetic, as is your pigheaded refusal to admit it is totally unacceptable. You care more about being right and defending him than actually looking out for Everton FC.

I've not listened to a word Martinez has said since he blamed the crowd for loosing matches. He's a nice guy and a good ambassador for the club, but he's woefully out of his depth. We couldn't afford to sack him pre-Moshiri - or have the money to get anyone better - but that's changed now.

The cup runs don't paper over the cracks of our awful league form.

We'll never achieve a winning consistency under this fella, every side that turns up and takes their chances waltzes off with 3 points, due to his complete inability to sort out our defensive frailties

One week brilliant, the next poor.

That's what happens with a developing team.

We have to write this one off and go again.

He is able to get a team up for a one off cup game but can't do it over a season.

Hell he can't even do it over 2 legs

Look, the fume is understandable. However, it changes NOTHING.

We have a Wembley date and we've had a strong cup season this time around. The Pl position is woeful, but it'll be taken by those in control as something that HAS to be rectified next season....but there WILL be a next season for Martinez at Everton.

Struggle against that all you like, and abuse me all you wish, that is the cast iron certainty we're looking at though.

...whatsmore - you know it.

They squad has been in "development" for nearly 3 season now, and is only going one way........
