It didn't look like the players were playing for Martinez, the pedestrian, slow paced, no passion performance.

I know some will say, what about last week? last week I thought the players were playing for themselves.

If we win two more games then we'll have our first trophy since 1995 and also qualified for europe for the second time in martinez' three seasons.

That would make him our best manager since kendall went to bilbao.

If we don't win those two games than yeah this season is a failiure. But I'm very reluctant to write it off now when that is still a possibility.

BS. Cup wins are nice but you should never judge a managers performance based on them. Luck of the draw plays a massive role.

You seem to be under the deluded impression that other people on this site expect action as a result of their posts i.e. if enough us want Martinez out it will actually happen. No one thinks that. We know our opinions won't change reality but this is a fans forum. It is about opinions and debate. Martinez is not doing a good job. We are not developing as a team and some players are going backwards - Stones and Barkley.

...all pov established in spades though.

There's two (hopefully) games that really matter. Neither of them were this one against Arsenal. A SF and a final are the priority. No one in history will be remotely arsed if Everton were beaten by Arsenal at home in a meaningless game if we are cup winners in 2016.

Grasp the bigger picture. It was grasped on this forum right up to yesterday, but now seems to have been conveniently forgotten - funny that.

Winning trophies is the name of the game last time I looked.

An FA cup and finishing 15th? Yes please. In a heartbeat.
The funny thing is mate, your happy to take that and every year we skip down the league in the process.

In your words, we are a developing team, except we must be developing for everyone else then. Anyone worth developing here will leave us in a heartbeat at a chance of even winning more than a handful of games. That's the one point you miss more than anything else, these developing players won't be here for much longer the worse the league form is.

So what's the point in being a developing team in your eyes?
