He reckons today was a one off.

What was one off about it?

Id rather he just said Arsenal were/are better.

The worse thing is, Arsenal didn't have to be better to win today.

I'm pretty certain now RM is a manager for 'one-off' games - e.g. cup games.

Other than that, he isn't consistent enough and I think we need to get rid in the summer.

Honest question guys, I come on here every couple of months and read some of the lunatic ramblings of davek for a day or two and even with such sparse exposure it utterly exhausts me. How on earth do you lot cope arguing against him on a daily basis?
It's why most people stay out of the thread most the time, but he blames it on "good results".

Dave I respect you immensely and we've both defended RM.

However, this league form is dreadful.

The cup runs are great and I want us to carry them on.

But consistently, over the course of a league season, Martinez doesn't have the ability or, at least, humility, to see that this is going very, very wrong.

That team today stinked of a side that knew it wouldn't be together much longer.

Have you joined?

Lads. Honest to God, everyone wanted better home form this season, it is NOT good to see the home form shambles.

Howver, a midtable position and two cup runs to at least the SF spots and some are believing that gets you the sack!

Sorry, give your heads a wobble. Not happening. Your favourite hacks and 'experts' might provide you with some comfort and an echo chamber for your prejudices, but no one at Evetton FC are pulling triggers over that season record....and it could get much better in the FA Cup.

That ^^^ needs to be accepted.

If Moshiri accepts that as success, he will rightly get as much, if not more flak that the previous, sort of current board.

I'm hopeful Moshiri has some genuine ambition. As he said, Everton is about winning games. Something our Bobby hasnt done enough of. That needs to change, quickly. I suspect he has to start next season quickly - or hes gone.

Personally, I agree with Lukaku. We have a top 4 side that has underperformed for two successive seasons.

The atmosphere at goodison is toxic. Martinez has lost the faith of a lot of the fans and the only way hes going to get it back is by putting some results together consistently. The big worry today is a lot of the players didn't look arsed. Besides jags, Coleman and possibly baines everyone else was pretty annoynmous
