my big worry is - change the manager in the summer, spends a decent wedge..players don't work out, we sack again..i dont want to be one of those clubs

I've always said mate that Martinez got the rest of this season, and the first few months of next season, if he hasn't learnt by his mistakes, and nothing has changed, then I would think that he needs to move on.

Also, Martinez has helped turned that rough diamond into a top player.
But do you not think a proven winner of a manager might galvanise our squad and persuade the better players to stay next season?
I admire your loyalty though Lou.

I`ve been in the Martinez Out camp for a while now. Clearly isn't going to achieve with this team, he has had 3 seasons. Let someone else have a go... Wigan couldn't defend now this Everton team cant defend, coincidence?

Worryingly for me... Pulis is a carthorse of a manager, and Wigan is a team made up of carthorses, yet they have won more games than us this season and sit above us in the league. I don't want the guy, it just shows how badly we are performing in the league yet again....

My worst fear is that Lukaku goes this season, we will be relegation material if that happens.

Time for the board to grow some balls and get rid of RM, operation Wigan is nearly complete.......

You are right Prev (as usual). But something is rotten in the kingdom of Everton. I fear an FA Cup victory might be pyrrhic in that it lends R Martinez more time {shudders}.

I think the players will actually get into gear for an FA Cup game. Today we were awful, I can't deny it. Maybe a few of the lads are already thinking about their moves next season but they will want to win that trophy. Martinez will get next season whether we win the FA Cup or not and I think most people realize that.

The negativity on here and the crowd is letting down the players on the pitch. It's like some want us to fail so they can be proved right

Strange, I like to keep it simple and support Everton.

That does not come all of a sudden. It is built on due to the results for the past 18 months.

Of course it does not help the team but if the results are beyond acceptable will you blame the supporters?

The thing is though, Martinez seemed to have the players galvanised against Chelsea, for some reason Arsenal were up for it today more than us, which is unacceptable, but today was down to the manager and players. Also,I do think our better players will be here next season, if I'm honest, the only who we might lose will be Stones, but he will go on our terms.

Plenty to be critical of the manager for but his use of Lukaku is not one of them.

All this talk of 'I dread to think what will happen if Lukaku leaves' or 'Lukaku is saving the manager's job' is utter nonsense.

One thing Martinez has proven he is capable of (compared with his peers) is bringing in quality players. What he then does with those players is obviously up for debate but we certainly don't struggle in attack.
