Reading bits about the 'progression' of the club under RM.

If you take LUKAKU out of that equation then...well....there is no progression argument at all because there's no/little progression.

ROM's essentially BOB's variation of BRENDAN's Luis.

And it'll probably end the same way as well.

If Lukaku is gone in the summer then are we back to square one?

When put like that, the current situation looks even more serious.

I don't think so. His posts were perfectly reasonable last night. It'd of been an absolute onslaught of he'd of started preaching. Can't see why he'd be arsed with that.

He'll be in hiding until the Derby semi final double header. If we win even one of them he'll be out here like Lazarus putting us all in our places. If we lose I expect it will be 'Kenwright won't fire him anyway, nothing to see here'.

The majority of his time here has shown that if he wins the cup his name will go alongside McCleish, Laudrup, Redknapp and indeed his own at Wigan as managers who picked up a cup at the expense of devestating their league form. What happened to all those managers and clubs? Fired and relegated, yet apparently Martinez is safe as houses. Nil Satis no standards.
Dalglish won the league cup and lost an FA cup final, finished 8th in the league and was sacked!!! Lets hope our new owner is just as ruthless.

Probably, im convinced we can nab him. I don't think he's anywhere near as forceful as he once was. Martinez has made that hard for him. He was being nice to me last night. I can sense the winds of change. And I've not been listening to the Scorpians.

...if that's where NIASSE & KONE are sat then it's not far off.

Sadly, no matter what the dough situation is, 20+ goals per season strikers are hard to get a hold of...plus there is the draw of playing with one that brings in possible others. Up until this week I was convinced ROM may stay, now I'm positive he's off. And, simply, I have no faith in the current manager in managing that as a situation. The noises have already been made...

Personally I think it will go one of two ways. Kenwright convinces Moshiri to keep Martinez in just at least for the start of next year (probably if he wins the cup). Then he'll start of the circus again and Moshiri will sack him before the Jan window. Or, Moshiri will be adamant that Martinez has to go, in which case I think it's been very odd that Moyes has not taken any of then umber of jobs that have come up in the prem. Kenwright will champion him and Moshiri will give him a whirl. Would be shocked but delighted if Moshiri got rid of Martinez and brought his own man in at the end of the season.

I can't believe how quietly @BlueToff moved over. Respect to him for not being so entrenched that a change of mind was impossible given the facts in front of us.

We need @Prevenger17 to make the switch then go for the kingpin.

First of all, don't avoid the swear filter.

Secondly, I'm not sure we buy a ST for the league form, though obviously it gets us into the league games. We pay our money for all sorts of reasons, but, lets be honest, we don't have much choice, it's just part of us, when we're boss, that makes it easier to justify the cost.

I have a season ticket to watch league games, I tend not to go to cup games, the option is there for me to pick and choose as I can't always make it. A cup run is a bonus but I pay nearly £600 to have a good season in the league and that is more important. Your right whether it's good or utter dross everyone will go anyway. I think he would probably get away 7/8 th and a cup but 12th and a cup is certainly not good enough. We spend half a season commenting how we're better than certain teams in the league and how we will overtake them when we go on a run. Unfortunately the run never happens. ...............

Let's hope this doesn't happen.

Pompey have prospered since their cup finals

The thought of getting Moyes back is horrifying though. He's already said he won't stand in players way if they want to leave. The last thing we want is for this squad to lose its stars.

I know, but I'm not giving it him until he wins it as appose to saying he has my support until he doesn't win it.

This season will go down as a big opportunity missed.

That's down to Martinez 93.76%

I don't really see the point in making this distinction and I don't see the point in writing him off completely if you know you're going to 100% reverse on it if something that, at this point, wouldn't hugely surprise anyone, happens. In fact, I don't think you can really call yourself someone who wants him out if you'd swing 100% based on the outcome of 2 games, just like those who're waiting until after the fa cup run aren't saying he's "absolutely fine" and then switching to "clueless" on the blowing of a final whistle.
