Apparently Kenwright will be overseeing the spending with Martinez.

Pretty much underlines the still central role in the football side of matters BK plays.

As soon as we can announce it, a new GK is a must for RM. Once we hear that we know where we stand, I suppose. An understanding with Beogovic looks likely. Then we can strengthen elsewhere.

Where have you heard that about Beogovic?

Have to blame RM for Rom wanting to leave tbh.

What's happened is Roberto has pulled a bird (Rom) whilst shes a few stone over weight but can see a potential stunner, over the course of 3 years his bird has dropped all the excess weight, but Roberto has regressed and turned into a ugly stubborn lover.

Whilst losing all this weight, Roberto's bird has been fluttering her lashes at people on holiday with the girls (away with Belgium) because she can see all the lads (clubs) from different cities like what they see.

Roberto's now stunning bird has all the lads from different cities (Munich, Turin, Madrid) inboxing her best mate (Mino Raiola) on twitter, telling her that they think she's a stunner and would love for her to move to theirs so they can have loads of children (trophies) and take her on holidays to Barcelona (Champions League). Whilst a regressing Roberto can only offer her caravan weekends to Stoke, Norwich and Swansea.

Massive net spends compared to Moyes tenure when we were bottom of the net spend league table. Massive net spends when compared to most of the premier league I would imagine, we are certainly not at the bottom of the league any more, and it would be no surprise to see us within the top half. Massive net spends compared to 85% of European clubs.

Martinez' money has been spent on plenty of players; Lukaku, McCarthy, Mori, Besic, Niasse, Kone, McGeady, Robles, Barry. There's nine players for you, and I'm not even going to include the absolute abomination of Alcaraz.

I dread a squad overhaul with Martinez at the helm, it will be pointless. You can change the personnel but his tactics are totally mental, and we are always going to be vulnerable when the defence is all over the place. He has done enough damage already, and he needs to go before he does any more. Oh how we laughed at David James prediction when Martinez took over.

I suggest you look at ths net spends of other clubs before saying ours is high....then look at how many players he has had to move on + in....

If you look at his signings the only failures have been frees or low cost. So dont follow about that tbh.

Also, wage bills are a good barometer of where sides should be in the league....it will be interesting to see ours in the summer once Moyes remaining deadwood are gone.

I see how you and Dave ALWAYS ignore Alcaraz. Are you going to tell me that Jags and Distin weren't massive improvements over his wigan defenders? So he brought in a Wigan ballplaying defender- was he better than the originals in the squad?

Alcaraz + McGeady + Kone + Eto'o and probably more were low cost signings brought in as stopgaps....

Just compare what he usually spends money on and then look at those signings...my own view is that theyre short term signings for 1-2 seasons max. I think barry was the same but turned out much better than we all hoped.

But I thought we were told all the players had bought into what Martinez was doing. Except stones. And now rom. I hope Ross isnt getting tapped up while away with England

Direct me to where I can find other clubs net spends and I will do so. It's going to be massively higher than the negative net spends that Moyes had to contend with during his Everton tenure, isn't it.?

Trying to argue that Martinez has had it tough in an era when we are buying 28million pound strikers, and don't have to sell players just to cover a 10 million pound loss each season is ridiculous. The Premier League has never been more competitive than it is right now, we actually have the ability to spend big money, and yet Roberto Martinez is taking backwards.

You messing? Martinez finished 5th with the squad he inherited, a squad who finished 6th before he took over . The more and more it's integrated as his group of players the worse we seem to be doing.

Not true though as it takes time for players to develop and integrate...espcially young ones!

Particularly after Rom confirming what we already knew - that an exodus is coming due to the underperformance of the fraud in charge - then I definitely feel he should be sacked this summer no matter what.

We have a new chairman, new money... we need to reinforce that with a new manager and show genuine ambition.
You don't have confidence that the guy who convinced Lukaku to sign for us twice couldn't pull off the same trick with another player in the event Rom or other players leave?

@Dymak

Fellaini+ Jelavic+Anichebe
=
Lukaku + McCarthy

Naismith +£6.5mil
= Niasse

Other than that he's replaced Distin with Mori of the players over £5mil.

Apart from Kone who i said at the time was useless.

Id say his net spend would be bottom half of the table behind (off the top of my head)

Arsenal
liverpool
Chelsea
man city
man utd
stoke
spurs
newcastle

At least...cant compare relative to moyes as fees have increased massively. What you can do though is look at the players he could have sold to bring in new ones and other then the defence + mirallas theess actually no one.

His job is to manage that. Bringing in players shouldn't cause a drop of 7 league positions

Well look at the number of positions he has had to fill and how many just wont leave until this summer...going to cause disharmony which were seeing recently.
