Hold on!

you're the one claiming we've had a significant net spend!!

Why should i need to find the stats when you're the one making such assumptions? Based on the teams that have spent more money as a certainty it would put us in 9th postion before even looking at the full list.

So 9th in net spend list or lower to totally change the squad....

Im really not sure why you keep mentioning Moyes as a reference? Transfer fees have increased as have the circumstances of the squad -- there is literally NO ONE to sell other than 3 old moyes defenders and Mirallas to generate any balance on net spend....if anything thats Moyes fault for not leaving a younger side with more value....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHA.

Naismith 8m
Fellaini 28m
Victor 6m
Jela 6m
Stones 40m
Barkley 40m
Mirallas 15m
Coleman 20m
Baines 15m
Jags 10m
Oviedo 6m

No value at all.

Don't really know what that first part means. Are you on Ev now?
It was a poor attempt at humour. I don't even know what we are talking about, I just sensed you were talking about supporting Martinez whereas I don't look at it that way I support Everton and Martinez isn't making that enjoyable. You completely lost me when you brought Chelsea up, as though I'm throwing my toys out the Pram because we aren't winning the league, which TBF is the sort of rhetoric I expect from Martinez apologist' if that's what you are.

Stand down Ian, he was just jesting.

Come again?

Dont think you followed the beginning of this.

Other than the players ALREADY sold what value was left in the squad other than the defenders left by Moyes and Mirallas who Martinez could have flogged?

In the entire squad what, 4 perhaps 5 of them? Thats poor.

Barkley and Stones werent rated at those amounts when Moyes left were they? They are valued at those amounts and possibly more because of the last 2.5 seasons where they have been developed.

You mad brah???

I think he said Eh because your last post was confusing but a very heartfelt defence of that traitor Moyes who stabbed us in the back.

Also, you think and want another traitor to beat us in the semi final.

You must have a thing for traitors, I'd get it checked out.

Was Howard Kendall a traitor for joining Athletico Bilbao?

Yawns.

Basically the only players worth any real value who havent been sold already were:

Baines
Jags
Coleman
Mirallas

At the time of Moyes leaving....i think Martinez has done pretty well to move on the rest of them but selling those 4 above even prior to this season would have been seen as insanity.

The fact is that other than players already sold by martinez there was only the 4 above left with any value (Mirallas £6mil only) and as for the 3 defenders hes clearly thought they would get by (along with distin and howard at least a season too many) so focused on midfield and attack.

Not sure who else he could have sold to generate tranafer funds tbh and balance the net spend more.

Hes done very well on that front i think.

You implied that Moyes left an aging squad with no value, the prices I listed where the max values Martinez COULD have sold the players left behind by Moyes for.

You implied Moyes left a squad with no value for Martinez to "play" with, totally ignoring the fact that Martinez has BOUGHT 22 players for the sum of OVER 100m, 50m of that money were players BOUGHT by Moyes and sold by Martinez.

Add in 2m for Hibbert, Distin 2m, 4m for Pienaar, 3m for Gibson, 3m for Howard and that adds up to around 200m that Martinez could have sold the entire squad left behind by Moyes, no value my utter arsehole.

Alcaraz + McGeady + Kone + Eto'o and probably more were low cost signings brought in as stopgaps....

Just compare what he usually spends money on and then look at those signings...my own view is that theyre short term signings for 1-2 seasons max. I think barry was the same but turned out much better than we all hoped.
Really? Stop gaps? He wanted McGeady he's brought Alcaraz to two clubs! You can't pick and choose dependant on whether they were a success.

£3mil for Gibson (who refuses to leave)
£2mil for Distin (lol)
£2mil for Hibbert (doing a coaching course)
£4mil for Pienaar (injured for 2years)
£3mil for Howard (lol)

You're being silly now.

Also he cant just sell practically the ENTIRE squad over 2 seasons...hes done pretty much all he could mind you.

Hes only messed up in giving out money for a few players on free / low fees and Kone the disaster....other than that and the jury out on niasse hes been a major success.

Now he can have a changeover on the defence...now hes practically sorted the rest of the squad bar the left of midfield (where hes been after yarmolenko) and one more CM.

Im holding off till the summer to see who and what he signs. Hes got a great track record.

I'd describe it as mutual respect and loyalty. As any sensible person would. McGargoyle though - clever feller that he is - feels it'd be a good idea to insinuate an improperly close relationship, perhaps even of a physical nature.

That cant be right, surely?

Indefensible from a BBC editor.

For the past 15 years Kenwirght's nickname has been Luvvie. He over flatters his managers, we saw it with Moyes and now we are seeing it with Martinez.

After the Chelsea match we had Kenwright stating "[But] you know what I thought today? What a manager. That's what I thought.” That after 7 losses at Goodison this season.

During the talk of Noel and Moores we had Martinez pleading with Kenwright to stay on "Whatever the investment or whatever the situation is in the future, in 10 or 15 years I would love to see Everton benefit from our chairman for the rest of his life.” Obviously worried about his job.

I love how you have developed such a deep respect for our Chairman Dave. For the past 7 years you haven't had a good thing to say for Kenwright and now you feel that McNulty is acting in an indefensible manner on his personal twitter account.

Every time Martinez spouts kak out his grid I cringe. I hate him more than I hate osman, I mean he's a good scout he can spot a player but he's not a prem manager and I've always said this.

A manager who signs Arouna Kone twice does not have a great track record.
