McNulty is saying what we already know to be spot on.

Moshiri is doing what anyone reasonable man in his position would do... and that's to wait.
It keeps Kenwright living in his delusional world of "I'm still running this club" and buys him time to justify his next move.

Martinez has proven he is capable of getting a team relegated and winning the FA Cup at the same time (what a man), so Moshiri isn't keen to rock the boat just yet.

You don't became a billionaire by believing old mate Kenwright and the smoke he blows up your clacker about Martinez.

Mr Morshir is sharpening his Shamshir!
Keep telling yourself fairy stories mate.

The scores on the doors are as follows:

We have a manager supported by his chairman
The chairman is making the decisions
The manager is proven in the PL and the transfer market
The club are within touching distance of ending a 21 year trophy drought

Beyond the world of football forum fever, no one is arsed about the stuff you're preoccupied with.

All is good.

Whats he preoccupied with David ?

I have posted many things over the years, including starting a thread suggesting we take Lukaku on loan where I was ridiculed for wanting him "cause we have Anichebe".

Much as I respect all the lads on here, that experience gave me an insight into the long term predictive instincts of most vocal fans on this Forum.
Right.. ok
I'm calling club mole! :pint2:

I think most would see him as a safe pair of hands on that score. Give RM £40M net of cash and we'll see it triple in value in a couple of seasons.

Better in the market place than Moyes, and he was good too.
Where do u find these "most"? Fans, media, players, outsiders or the Board?

I don't need to, I keep reading the ones you write.

- We have a manager supported by a chairman who's influence is at best, waning :)
- The chairman is the chairman only as a token gesture. All decisions now need to be OK'd by Moshiri
- The manager is proven in the PL - to guarantee failure more then success
- A 21 yr drought which has seen, Wigan, Portsmouth, Blackburn, Birmingham and Middlesbrough all win trophies. And where are they now?

Sorry Dave the time, energy and effort you spend passing your opinion as fact, in the hope it will actually influence the masses, is too amusing.

Yes, I'd say that the 10's of millions that we have spent, often without selling, can be considered a significant net spend.

When I mention our regression, it's regression from where Moyes had us. That's why I keep mentioning him, and because he was at a far greater disadvantage than Martinez, as he was operating at a time when we had negative net spends and were bottom of the net spend league table. This disadvantage does not apply to Martinez! And yet we have regressed to what looks like two bottom half finishes in a row under him, something which never happened under Moyes despite the constraints he was operating under.

I agree 100% about moyes negative spends and he did a great job there takinf us up the table with minimum outlay.

However....

I really dont think we could have a negative net spend and still attract these types of players because the environment has changed.

So i also think Martinez has done a great job.

I also dont think Moyes left a great squad.

Why just make stuff up? He signed plenty before their peak. Who peaked with us. Arteta Cahill Lescot Jags baines.

The level of quality martinez is signing is far better than those listed...

Mori and Lescott we'll see once adapted
Lukaku
Deulofeu
Besic

These are real top class players...

Moyes couldnt attract anyone at Utd.

Who's praised him? People probably had thought he'd be back up. That's it. He was dredge.

When martinez signed kone and alcaraz and robles i put out a few posts saying how angry i was (not about robles as i didnt know much about him) and was shot down as apparently Kone was a class finisher and Alcaraz was their best defender.

By the time we signed McGeady not many were on the bandwagon....

So im not 100% biased on his transfers and wouldnt oppose a change but only after he has the summer to get a keeper and defence etc etc

Moyes signed better players than all the players that you list bar Lukaku. Lescott and Jagielka actually were phenomenal and were of a better quality than anything Mori has yet shown. Arteta was miles better than any midfielder we have right now. Baines was world class under Moyes. Stones was bought by Moyes. Cahill, Yakubu, Johnson and Fellaini were all good players who never required excuses to explain consecutive bottom half finishes.

Moyes didn't manage to finsish below 8th place at a time when he didn't sign a first team player for two and a half years, and when we were repeatedly bottom of the net spend league. The idea that Martinez is at anywhere near the same disadvantage that Moyes was just because he has actually been given 10's of millions to spend, and because the playing field has now been levelled, is totally preposterous.

How many of those players were signed in the same period martinez has had though?

He had 11 years....im sure martinez can sign some amazing players in the next years...

I also disagree about the players hes signed so far not being top notch....deulofeu and besic in a season or two will be 2 of the best in the league

People feel as tho they need to attack Moyes in order to make El Fraudo seem better.

The facts are quite simple, both managers did some amazing work in the transfer windows, both signed outstanding players for good money and both built a great squad.

Moyes managed to get us 5 Semi Finals and a final, CL football and kept us ticking over from 4th to 8th.
Martinez has managed 2 Semi Finals and kept us ticking over from 5th to 12th.

I only want to talk about FACTS.

Who are the 22 players hes signed?

any link if you cant be bothered to type?

Debating with Dymak is a exercise in futility Zat. Anyone who staunchly stands by 5th place being mid-table is simply someone you either ridicule or ignore. I choose the former.
