Mate, I was sat pretty much on the half way line today, I'm still trying to work out what formation we played today.
No it's not.
Lukaku has improved despite Martinez, not because of him. if the club came anywhere near to matching his ambition, we'd be doing just fine.No we have lukakus goals because he's one of the best strikers in Europe, hence he knows when to make runs off the defenders, when to time headers.....its why he's the subject of bids from some of the world's biggest clubs.
Martinez had nothing to do with him being born with talent. Hence, rom has kept us away from danger
Err, I'm pretty sure Roberto signed him for Everton. No we have lukakus goals because he's one of the best strikers in Europe, hence he knows when to make runs off the defenders, when to time headers.....its why he's the subject of bids from some of the world's biggest clubs.

Does anybody think we need to rebuild next season? Our player retention has been great but should we move on players like kone, Pienaar, osman, McGeady? Maybe get some money for James McCarthy while we still can? I just think it's time to go back to the drawing board
Did Cleverly play on the left?
Ok. We'll leave it there. If you can't understand plain English I can't explain it to you.
Err, I'm pretty sure Roberto signed him for Everton.
Meh
Beeneth all the theatrical nonsense Kenwright is a pretty hard nosed businessman.
If things became utterly dire I don't think he'd hesitate to change manager
Yes it is; thought maths was easy???
9 (number of wins)/ 30 (games played) * 100 (for percentages)
Our win ratio is 30%. On topic
Maths, easy innit
Rom up top...Lennon supporting. Del more advanced on the right. Clev on the left. Barkley and McCarthy in the middle.
They did switch roles at times, but that is the fluid nature of the game.
The thing is, we can talk about moving on the outer squad players, but what difference does that really make? Losing today, we only brought on two subs. We started with the usual band of familiar faces. In fact so familiar, only Cleverley and Lennon started who were not present in the first season of Martinez. On comes Mirallas and then, with five minutes to go, the very dubious talents of Naisse. It would have been nice to show some real appetite for it rather than that usual "roughly 60 mins" first sub and the "barely enough time for an impact" second sub.
If you think about two decent displays this season, Chelsea home and City home, they've involved early or half time subs - forced or otherwise. But now we seem to just sort of drift a bit as the game goes on.
First season under Martinez United would have scored and virtually straight away we'd have seen a positive sub or tactical move. Didn't he bring Baines off and Del on in a Derby at half time?
I do absolutely agree with the need to move McCarthy on, or even to keep him deep and try and get him to take over from Barry long term. A really top class player in there would have this team really singing as a passing unit. You watch Mata today dropping deep and you thought - if only Barkley and McCarthy could show your level of application.

Well Bill didn't do anything. 21 wins out of 68 leagoe games is fine for him?
