best thing I've heard all day

It worked against Chelsea.
Aye, one game. In a season of many, many, games. I did point it out post Chelsea match at some point. It was a pleasing performance, where we didn't let the opposition settle, like City at home.

As a side note, not directed at J'adorefromage: Cup win's he can do. League, where it's not just you win or you're out- he's not fared well (Bar season 1 with us, where if we conceded he's immediately make an attacking change). Not one single fan of Martinez has ever managed to acknowledge that the approach to a knock-out competition is very very different to league which is a consistent measure of management skills.

No it isnt about "how we look" its just disrespectful , childish & not needed . I think we (as fans) are better than that.

Nah. He deserves it. He's insulting us with the tripe he serves up week in week out and then spouts after the games. I'm less interested in qualifying as being "better"than some idealistic/theoretical "that" and more interested drumming this fool out of my club

And yet he is also the only Everton manager to have exited both Cups at the first stage in the same season.

Got the full range does El Fraudo.

And also - what's the reason for the big gap between home and away form? Is it chance - or negativity from home fans affecting players?

It is how the team sets up. We can only play one way, on the counter attack, everyone sat deep apart from two of the best attacking talents in the PL.

You can do this away from home to decent effect as teams play with mor confidence at home and there is an expectation fromt heir own fans for them to get on the ball and make something happen.

When we are at home that same expectation exists and the away side are sitting deep looking to counter. This is where we see the complete failure of the Martinez project with us having no idea what to do when we have to play on the front foot and break teams down. We therefore started to start playing on the counter attack at home (embarrassing) but even this failed with the recent West Ham and Arsenal games being examples of two decent sides who we let have the ball and they punished us with it.

9 league wins
5 league cup wins
4 FA cup wins

Do you think that's acceptable?

It certainly doesn't live up to our motto does it?

Yet you rail match going fans whom pay a lot of money to watch that utter gash week in week out for giving the players and mainly the manager well deserved criticism they are receiving and say we should support the team better and we act like we're entitled!??
Don't think so!
You probably won't find more level headed fans than Evertonians, we expect our team to turn up and fight for the cause and not just bend over like we have recently.

I suppose if it was up to you we'd be called F.C Megalols and have mad bantz throughout the match!!

This isn't the MLS!! It's the premier league and we are Everton and we deserve better.

But is there an actual explanation for this?.....

Yes, it was a favourable fixture list. Had we been drawn against any of Liverpool City Arsenal United Leicester or Spurs we would have most probably been knocked out. This didn't happen until the semi stage in the league cup. Last season we were out of both at the first opportunity.
