Roberto Martinez discussion

Did you see the carnage inflicted on favourites tonight in the LC? We werent one of the giants slain.

That
Is
All

And that has what exactly to do with our performance?

Two big teams went into away games and treated the competition like a joke and got punished for it.

We went into a home game in a cup when we don't have European competition to worry about - we took it seriously, and fluked through.

Stop knocking your own team. It's simple enough: Chelsea and Arsenal got beat, we went through.

How hard is it to stop all the championship manager opta stats nonsense for a second and savour that?

Martinez makes Moyes look like a right culture vulture. It's so painful paying good money to watch what seems to be continually served up @ GP.

Well he's got as good a run of games as he could wish for to build momentum now, so we'll see what he can do. Every game until the new year is very winnable on paper.

We're becoming a tremendously resilient team, aside from the United game (and for understandable reasons) we've given everyone a really good game having gone behind.

Of course, it would be better to have that resilience from the start of a game but we're probably at our most dangerous when behind which is a good trait.

He has a bit of luck about him.
That was plain bad management today and he got away with it,playing players that hadnt had many games between them in a game we had to win.
If we had gone out are season would have dependent on getting a good fa cup draw.
But he got the win so who am I to moan.

I can see why he has gone almost completely bald if he is watching them looking good in training then they step onto the pitch and make continuously awful passing choices when there are other options available...

It was a like a virus running through the team.

er... I'd say we are unbelievably soft in terms of conceding goals. Isn't our goal down to win ration horrendous as well?

howard starts saturday :( but we will win a few games..and he will be getting praised..and sign a extension to his contract and piss us off for longer, good night.

This is just trying to make excuses for the pretty inefective way we nearly always start games. We should start games like we actually want to win the game and finish it the same way. For large parts of games our norm is something below not that good. We have got to do better and some
