I think for the first time I have seen RM lose his cool with a referee, i think this showed the first signs of pressure affecting him

er... I'd say we are unbelievably soft in terms of conceding goals. Isn't our goal down to win ration horrendous as well?

Will dig out some stats, but there's something like a 70% of winning a game if you score first. We've not lost 70% of the games we've conceded in first but will come back to you..

Worryingly, just from memory we've conceded first in our last four - possibly five

edit: Last six! holy moly, and nine for the season.

Four wins inside the standard 90 mins (how bets are settled) in 13 games as well. Ouch.

Sounds like some people would rather have been beaten so they could have a go at the manager.

Here's what RM had to do tonight: get Everton into the QFs by hook or by crook. Job done. All the rest is irrelevant. I'm sure Chelsea and Leicester played well better than us....but they're out.

We're going all the way in this cup. The comebacks suggest it's fated. ;)

You don't like winning? If we want to settle for mediocrity bring back Moyes.

We played a relegation fodders second string team. I don't want to hear excuses. For 65 minutes Norwich retained possesion and moved the ball a lot better than us. We won 7/19 home games last season? It's simply just not good enough.

I'm happy we are in the next round, who wouldn't be. However our performances are shocking, whether we win or loose.

Here's hoping.

Made up we're though, but we were terrible tonight. If the QF is at Goodison I expect an infinitely better showing.

Poor tonight from Martinez, very poor, he rests Barkley but then plays a side so poor we needed him to come on and do an hour. Did Coleman really need a rest? Galloway at his age no chance, if anything more experience could of been gained tonight. His side might of got into the next round but going into a big game on Sunday we have some seriously tired legs now in that squad, Sunday will be hard against a big Sam side. one point in 9 we have to win that, Sunderland will be very happy right now.

1. Obv he would have hoped that sub would have ended it in regular time.
2. Coleman not being selected obv shows he's not 100% back.
3. Oviedo needs game time too. The COC is the best time for it.

Far too easy to play the hindsight game you're trying to play.

Its only hindsight because we are talking after the match, before the match everyone was saying strongest team and get the job done. The sub came after an hour of truly awful football, with Mori coming in with no problem for Jags all he had to do was cover for Barry, something he made a right meal of.

Yes we got into the next round, but we nearly went out without even getting to the lottery of spot kicks.
