We only won 3 times too.

We also lost our last 2 home hames of last season against Spurs and Sunderland and finished 11th last season.

Been asleep for 12 months?

Really not arsed about last season now. It's gone. It was crap. Get over it.

When you saw our first 10 games where did you expect us to be? Especially following the crap season last time. Answer honestly.

I'm off to watch the match in a minute and no doubt what will be etc etc
I would hope that the performance will ease my fears
I will wait and see

But it strikes me that the fact that this portion of the thread has ran and ran, with nobody being proved right OR wrong, might suggest that the wheel is still in spin...and has been for a long time

Lets face it lids, he ain't going to change aka Improve

and what ever happens in the next 2+hrs
One Sunderland swallow will NOT make a summer.

A manager is judged on results, somebody has already posted the awful form for the last 40 odd games.

I don't care who we have played recently, that is just an excuse. It's a tough league but we have a side that is on paper capable of competing with the top 8. Anything less than that is a failure and he should be judged on that.

I can take one bad season, I'm not stupid enough or naive enough as an Evertonian to not expect that once in a while.

What I am saying is that if we continue with the form we are showing and end up out of he European places again, he will be deemed not up to the task.

I want him to succeed, he needs to start showing he can.

Everton team (to play Sunderland): Howard, Coleman, Oviedo, Stones, Funes Mori, McCarthy, Barry (c), Kone, Barkley, Deulofeu, Lukaku

At least three of those players are hopelessly out of form, still get picked.

zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I don't disagree with any of that. Despite not actually answering the question.

I just reckon we've had a tough start when compared to others, Leicester for example.

These next few games will be where I make my mind up on him.

The reason I didn't answer the question as I had not put in my mind a league placing I expected us to be.

We had just signed McCarthy and Mirallas on long term contracts, secured Geri and we should have been very positive going into the season.

Don't think it's gone as well as it could have, let's hope to kick start that today ;)

I guess it's two ways of looking at it but coming out with the same mate.

I reckon it could have gone a lot worse than it has!

But at the end of the day we both know it has to pick up from this point.
