The key for me is the next two windows....

Who he moves on primarily....hes already giving Kone a new extension...anyone else?

Hope we see some ruthlessness with a few players out.
Kone deserves another year tbh. Osman and Hibbert should surely be moved on or offered coaching at best now though. I always stood up for Osman back in the day but his appearances this season have been laughable.

Id have waited till Jan for Kone...some games brilliant and others....well, usual Kone.

Pienaar - end contract
Osman - end contract
Hibbert - end contract
Gibson - punted
McGeady - punted
Howard - punted
Naismith - Get some cash in
Mirallas - Get some cash in

All these players out would only need a couple of replacements and bring in much needed £ as well as huge savings on wages.

Seems the perfect time to do this with players now coming through as well...

Didn't Kone trigger a clause that extended his contract?

All 1 of them when he kept us in that cup tie? Agree he needs replacing but he's barely played this season. Hardly at fault for our poorer performances.

Not sure what point you're making tbh. Are you saying he never triggered a clause?
I must admit it does seem a bit weird. Apparently his 35th game triggered an extension to his 3 year contract? Would be pretty odd to have automatically added an extra year to his contract if he'd played 35 times in his first season like you might reasonably have expected. Unless it was something like 10 games in his last season, which again seems like a very low figure to guarantee a new contract. Not saying anyone's making it up like, but it does seem very strange.

No idea mate. I don't see why it's being reported though if it's not true.

Not saying he was at fault but he was terrible in the last cup game goal or not and when he came on against Sunderland of the top of my head. If he's made no other appearances fair enough but that was enough for me.

I thought that Osman played his part against Norwich.

He started on the left, with Gibson and McCarthy in the centre; Osman - Gibson - McCarthy - Mirallas. Everton had little possession. Gibson had little influence in midfield and Osman saw very little of the ball. Martinez could have changed this formation at half time - or before - but persevered with it until Norwich scored.

After an hour, he brought on Barkley to support Lukaku and Deulofeu to play right wing. Osman came into centre midfield as Gibson dropped back to centre half; Mirallas - Osman - McCarthy - Deulofeu. Osman took control of midfield as Everton came back into the game. And it was Osman who got the equaliser.

In extra time, Naismith came on for Mirallas, and Osman switched back to the left side; Osman - Naismith - McCarthy - Deulofeu. Norwich then gained more possession but could not score.

Everton are the smallest team in the Premier League, with an average height in the Toffees' squad of 180.5cm .

We are weak when defending corners and freekicks cos we have quite a few midgets. Maybe Martinez is looking to sign more players with physical presence in the future.

I imagine a triple swoop for Carroll, Traore and Matt smith.

I didn't see Norwich but I was actually quite impressed with Osman against Sunderland. When the game became stretched and he had a little more time on the ball you can still see the lads quality shining through. He is almost the opposite of Barkley. In a game where we needed to calm things down he performed that role brilliantly.
