Roberto Martinez discussion

We really need to beat Boro and go on a run till the new year.

If we can do that then were nicely setup for Jan transfer window and people will want to join us + our players will want to stay.

Clearly Martinez is doing very well indeed.

I've just written this short letter (provisional) and I'm thinking of sending it off to the club:

To Roberto Martinez (c/o Everton FC),

Dear Roberto,

thank you so much for agreeing to be our manager two and a half years ago, triggering what has now become widely known as the rebirth of the blues. You led us out of a dark period in the club's history (indeed, many fans now refer to that period as our Dark Ages - a time when we had wandered far away from our heritage as a team renowned throughout the land as the leading proponent of what became known as Scientific Football).

You were left an ageing squad full of players who trembled in fear with the ball at their feet; yet you transformed these wrecks and gave them back their dignity as footballers, allowing them to realise their God given talents which the previous manager had forbidden they display. More than that though, you have overseen a revolution in attitude that sees our players wanting to dominate the opposition, no matter who they be or where we play them. This brand of swashbuckling football is now our trademark, our stamp. The rest of the nation have begun to sit up and take note of the rapier like attacks and imperious defending. They know that this is a club with a manager and young squad on the cusp of something truly remarkable.

So Roberto, once again I commend you and I thank you on behalf of all at GOT for your evangelising of the beautiful game, and your determination to see it practiced at a club that is no stranger to the tradition.

Regards,

davek

Thoughts?

Bit RAWKish ?

Far too tongue in cheek for RAWK.

Only if you know the context and who wrote it.

In isolation, substitute Klopp for Martinez and change a few things round and we'd all be laughing at it.

Anyway, did anyone hear how Martinez said how pleased he was with our defensive performance yesterday and, compared to S'land, called it a complete performance ?

Well in Roberto for never being totally satisfied and always looking for improvements. Some were ( rightly ) happy with a 6-2, but the pros knew we could do better

Youve changed, the sun has fried your noodle.

@micknick deal with this.

Oh? I think @sageyefc is working on something.
Just a bit of light reading friend
