Roberto Martinez discussion

got pretty much everything wrong today imo. dela should have stayed on after the confidence of getting his goal, mirallas probably should have stayed on for another 5-6 mins after the goal to use his pace on the counter (even if it was his worst game for everton) and how on earth did osman stay on the pitch for so long with barkley waiting on the bench? one of naismith or osman was on the wing, neither of which are close to average in that position.

ah well, we won another late game.

Agree with you bout Barca lid.....crazy decision taking him off.

But Mirallas

No way....he was crap IMO

We just keep winning at home. Transfer that to nicking more away games and we'll be sound.

Easier said than done like but Moyes got loads of credit for late Everton goals, seems Martinez has the same knack.

His first season too. I'm happy so far like. Were above our old manager who's at the champions of last season again too? Ace.

yeah, the problem is not nicking it to be honest, it's been a case of turning our deserved points into actual points.

too many draws, it's what happens when you don't buy good attackers, at least we know it will be top priority

i would have kept one of them on at least. mirallas deserved to get taken off i must add, was trying to say if he's taking dela off, he has to keep mirallas on imo.

Deulofeu was crap all game bar maybe one cross, His shot would'nt have went in if it wasn't for the deflection, he needed to be subbed.

Mirallas shouldn't have been brought off for naismith, that should have been osman.

You're obsessed with Moyes. You have mentioned him, and put the boot into him, in every single one of your posts in this thread.

I like to keep it real. And the reality is that Moyes did very well for Everton, taking us away from the relegation fights, finishing 4th, some European football and a cup final.
.

That's the top and bottom of it.

I've said it on this thread and umpteen others that holding the view 11 years of existing in the division amidst mostly dire football (yes it was) and choking almost every time it mattered represents something acceptable for this club is peoples prerogative.

But many of us simply don't see it that way at all.

If you've seen the club winning stuff, challenging and not being perennial chokers no matter how often people stamp their feet saying otherwise - it is what it is - an almost unrivalled cack period in our club's history.

You accusing people of obsessing re Moyes is marvelous.

Just made an epicly big post taking that apart, then deleted it because its all just so necessary, it doesn't take a moron, let alone a genius, to identify the bias and agenda in that response of yours, it certainly doesn't take much pointing out.
Bottom line...
Your being a hypocrite.

If you think that Martinez is doing a tremendous, near faultless job this season, yet Moyes was drifting along with his endless problems of tactics, subs, attitude, incompetence etc etc...

We are a position lower than last year and that is the bottom line. Win our games in hand and we are on par for another Moyes level of finish.

Either Moyes is actually [Poor language removed] and your overrating Martinez, or Martinez is quality and your underrating Moyes. Can't be both, its such a similar season to last season, they can only have proven themselves pretty much equal with that squad.
Martinez certainly has the potential to exceed that, but until he does, they have both achieved the same for us.

Personally I think both are quality. You think one dosses about getting everything wrong, the other is pure quality, yet they have achieved the same thing during their time here so far, yet one is a success, the other a failure.

Hypocritical mate, sorry but it is.

You can't read can you?

Agree with this. Deulofeu was awful and was the prime candidate for subbing. Even though Mirallas is not at his best I would rather keep him on than Osman. Maybe a tad unfair on Osman but after 60mins mistakes and lost possession was creeping into his game and to me never looks dangerous
