Roberto Martinez discussion

A mate of mine sits a couple of rows behind me, whenever we score I look back and high five him. When I looked back after the Coleman goal, he was missing, I look forward and he's right at the front of the Lower Gwladys giving it all sorts. Boss stuff.
No mate. Stop having fond memories. This game was a disaster and we are having an inquest.

Nigel.....I don't think the post from that Banno fellow was directed at you...

It was aimed at Ihaters whom does indeed take it very badly when owt negative is posted about his great hero, the Moyesiah.
Yeh thanks mate, it was a mis communication sorted without any probs at all.

Mate, all you seem to do is have a dig at people if a comparison is made with Moyes. You actually jump down peoples throats. I don't know if you are on a mission but it is really getting tedious now and has been all bloody season. Please just join in and debate on the merits of the team or players and stop being a vigilante. Just try.
That's a very one sided view of the debate. The anti Moyes rants are just as tedious and just as digging

Haha class.

A footballer with a quick mind but ageing body and unfortunately a shot like a wet sponge

This is what gets my goat with co-commentators and pundits, who love to opine that Osman has a "wonderful shot, very technical" and all that crap. Even I've got a wonderful technical shot if you give me enough attempts. And even if you don't, I'll still hit the ball harder than peashooter...every time.

Only Pienaar has a worse peashooter. And what's sad is that these two are our first-choice attacking midfielders.

Is it any wonder they never score goals?

I'm pretty certain I saw Osman look directly over at Martinez to suggest he should be taken off. This was around the 70 minute mark. I think he did this again at least once.

He continued to soldier on, blowing out of his arse for 11 minutes losing the ball cheaply several times through tiredness which could have cost us the game. With what felt like the whole ground shouting for Osman to be taken off, Martinez just stood there, even with Ross Barkley on the bench warmed up and ready to come on. Even Moyes wouldn't have done that.

I just don't know what it is about Osman. Even when he wants to come off, managers keep him on the pitch.

Making the double change right after we scored as well. Couldn't get my head around it. I know the sub had been planned, but it wasn't the time.

I agree, Moyes wouldn't have done that.

Barkley would be on loan at Yeovil and Neville would be the one warming up.

Alrighty then.

Anyway, I cannot get my head around why he was forced to stay on for such a long stretch. There was no good reason as far as I'm concerned.
