Totally agree with that.
And also that football is about defending as well as attacking. Simple really.
I don't mean if he wrote it I mean if it was a piece that someone posted from nowhere (I just found the one I posted after about 7 different people tweeted the link and it was RT'd about 100 times in 15 minutes) would he have researched the author before paying attention to the content? like he has done here, all he has done is pick holes in the opinions, which is fair game, the bit that is frustrating is the dismissal of the facts and stats in the piece. If he had wrote an article praising Martinez would you be agreeing with it? Or finding ways to pick holes and belittle it, I think we both know the answer and totally respect your position we all have opinions.

What does Pulis have to do with it, are you suggesting that he or any poster in here wants that type of football.Well this new friend of attacking freedom of expression football doesn't like defending. Something I'm actual very keen on.
"Take Saturday’s recent game between two of the Premier League’s dullest outfits, Man Utd and WBA at Old Trafford. Pulis dug the trenches, spooled out the razor wire and stationed a ten strong defensive patrol at the edge of their 18 yard box. They succeeded in frustrating a regularly toothless and dull United attack until the second half, having offered nothing in attack themselves".
The journalist has not been consistent with his beliefs. You cannot in one article praise a manager for playing entertaining football and having the courage to embrace it and then criticise another manager for having the same principles in the next? If Leicester have a free fall in the new year will he be praising Ranieri for sticking to his beliefs? That's not true he addressed it at least 4 times. Also the facts provided and the patterns of results and finishing league position in respect to the one that went before doesn't need addressing? Are you sure that's fair, if it's of just be the facts would it of been a better piece?
So we don't have anyone to actually coach our defence at all?Yep, but he's a development coach.. So he doesn't csoch defending apparently.
The way they do it wins games though. They should be praised for winning games in an entertaining way. Just as questions should be asked when the talent we have struggles to win games. The journalist has not been consistent with his beliefs. You might have to explain that one to me.Racist
