Simple Definition of consistent

• : always acting or behaving in the same way
  
  
• : of the same quality; especially : good each time
  
  
• : continuing to happen or develop in the same way

1 Season in 3 isnt consistent.

39 in 96 when it is made up of

21 in first 38....12 in second 38 and 6 in 20 (theoretically on course to be worse than last season) is consistent?

*will accept its a consistent decline in terms of wins per games played....no doubt about that.

But if you accept there's consistency in his record at Everton, then your point falls at the first fence. You cant say "erm, yes, he was consistent...but now he isn't" and sustain your position.

He's proven himself capable of consistency and that's pretty much that.

I still have my concerns with him, especially his constant use of certain players who are out of form and his substitutions, but if he keeps doing what he did against City on Wednesday and the substitutions which improved us against Spurs second half I'll be more than happy.

That's missing a time element.

You can be consistent for one set period and inconsistent in other periods of time. Everyone knows that.
