Roberto Martinez discussion

Here comes the happy clapper number 1 tactic to any criticism "DUH WHY DON'T U START SUPPORTIN DAY CHELSEY OR MAN YOO LAD?"

Just understand that we're going through a tough time at the moment mate. And in that time we just achieved a healthy 4-1 win over Wolfsburg to top our group in the Europa League, lost no ground on the [Poor language removed], Spurs and Man United at the weekend having played harder games so far.

Times are so tough though. It's hard being an Evertonian.

Man up you bunch of girls.. the players are not performing to their potential at all.. chill out..dont post much and felt I needed to as the doom mungers and err generally negatively minded peeps come from under their stones and post crap. Well smash the dark side on Saturday ..Some of the football in the last 12 months is as good if not better than the 80's... get behind the team..Up the toffees..

I'm glad internet forums aren't a true representation of our fanbase because there are some clueless, moanings bastards on here. Stop crying and get a grip lol

We had a massively under strength team out tonight and that result will have very little bearing on how the season is going to go. Not too bothered we're out as we were never going to be able to challenge on 4 fronts. 2 is more realistic and I believe we will put up a strong challenge on 2 fronts.

There is no denying there are concerns, Martinez will know that, but some of the backtracking on here is embarrassing. Everyone was raving about him last season, and now he's not the man for the job lol

A lot of our fans use the quote "Kopite Behaviour". The tantrums on here the last couple of weeks has been just that and worse to be honest.

If you want instant success, with no ups and downs, why support Everton? We are what we are. A very good team with a manager who is trying new things and building for the future. We've got a top team and we will do great things this season. People just need to ride the storm, and let the players put it right, regardless of what happens in the next 2 weeks.

I agree about calling for his job part but there is a lot of blame to be placed at him.

Obviously not closing down a player 2 minutes after a previous player has just smashed one at your keeper from 25 yards out and made him pull out a great save isn't directly his fault, but indirectly it is as it's his tactics and philosophy.

Obviously you can't blame him directly for a player going mental are trying a diving header 9 yards out in the direction the ball was going but this clown has looked abysmal since the start of pre-season, so therefore he should see that he's past it and leave him out.

Then there is the Hibbert situation which I can't be bothered typing about.

Some people on here are like women on the rag. Same dickheads that will be on here god worshipping if we win on Saturday.

Playing jags and stones will not solve anything, period.

his methods are implemented and its clear as day the problem is further in front of the back four; either he got fortunate last year or the players still had the 'moyes defend at all costs mentality' in them, whatever it is its now becoming an embarrassment.

Hibbert will be the pick of criticism tonight, he had a bad game and deserves it; but why would you play someone who has had minimal game time behind a winger who has no intention of helping out leaving him well and truly exposed ahainst someone who could go past him in a blink of an eye

just like sunday, the defence is left to pick up the pieces of a lacklustre 6 in front; infact buy a whole new back four and keeper because it won't make a difference.

At least we kept consistent and conceded another 3 to keep our average goals against ticking along nice. I wonder what other teams struggled when letting goals in like this
