Martinez over 3 years has been a poor manager here. If he was our chief scout then the man would be brilliant at his job but as a manager he has been poor.

The cult has lost their leader, its quite clear that Grand Old Team has now become a Martinez OUT website.

The other side of anyone backing Martinez is will Rom Ross del and stones want to keep playing in this team?

I'm sure from the inside they can see the progress and belief that Martinez has, I'm sure when they signed he sold his vision as a long term project and they're a big part of that.

Why don't you support City mate, they've got lots of good players that they aren't likely to sell if that's your thing.

no.if you stop and think back to last season we were slow...sloppy ..no confidence. awful from back to front.

its clear the whole team is playing much better and also have shown plenty of cajones in getting themselves back into games.

Up till we got destroyed by Chelsea due to defensive mistakes in the third game last season mate we had started that one exactly the same way we look this season, and then confidence was knocked out of us by that hammering.

Don't underestimate the effect having Deulofue back and how Lukaku looks on a different level this year has had on the confidence of the entire team

As for the sloppiness - honestly see no difference over last year and this mate, we still give goals away, we still give posession away in ridiculous areas, we still cant defend set pieces

As for showing cajones coming back in games. wouldn't it be showing more to actually be able to hold onto a lead - think we lead the league oin points lost from winning positions so far, a sign that we haven't really got cajones we just play better when theirs nothing left to lose (a sign we have maybe one or two very small ones)

agree on Howard. so tired of him, although i have excused the manager for much of the season in picking him as to be honest a lot of managers go with their experienced keeper and back them when in poor form. however its gone on too long now. he is the only one who has brought last seasons form into this season

It should have been sorted in the summer mate.

Martinez's stubborness will be his downfall. He is unwilling to compromise his beliefs which is a big negative point when the same keeps happening over and over. Can we afford to give him until the Summer

With hindsight, we probably should have sacked Martinez last season and given a different manager a season with these young players. Now we're just going to lose half of them this summer and have to start again.

Lukaku has openly said he worked on his game over the Summer, by himself.
John Stones, Ross Barkley have gone backwards in the last 3 years.

Thanks for this. We were the better team I'd say but defensive errors again can't be ignored. A recurring theme really. As for the crowd? It works both ways I'd say. Goodison faithful are hacked off with the same old same old. Its inevitable mistakes are getting jumped on. Its one thing accepting two maybe three defensive calamities a season but its virtually every week!

That's a large part of the problem isn't it mate, too many angry types that didn't want him in the first place and then all crawl out of the woodwork at the first opportunity.

Some people would love to see is fail just to be able to shout at people on the Internet about how right they were. Sad really.

I'm fuming at that performance today, I can see the bigger picture though, but it's going to take time, and Martinez is still the man.

so the naismith money goes the way of the arteta money then, nice one Martinez - guess what Moyes said about knowing how we will work and he will learn has sank home - don't press the board - let them have their money without investing int he squad and your job will be safe
