Which is exactly why we should go all out for Europa. IMO we're not going to finish 4th this year so winning EL is the only way in. It also means a tour around Europe and a trophy. Can't see why we wouldn't go all out. We're more than capable of beating everyone in it at the moment. Finish 5th-8th in the league and win Europa and I'd be over the moon.

I'd be over the moon if we get top 10 and a pot. Ideally the European one. But if we come home with the FA Cup and a 9th place finish, I'm not complaining.

Not sure why the league is so prioritized in people's minds now. It seems the least likely way to a trophy.

It's the one with the biggest payout which improves your chances of winning one down the line.

Anything above 18th and a trophy is our best season in nearly 20 years.

But losing league games tends to be bad for cup form. You play well and you gain confidence. You play badly and heads go down.

A team who finishes 17th is unlikely to win the Europa.

We aren't winning the league because of prize money from the league, it's money, but it's not enough to make a difference. We just need to stay comfortable and target winning things in general. Establish ourselves in Europe and see what happens.

Of course we want to win every game, but I wouldn't prioritize the League over Europa - one we can win, one we can't. Doesn't make sense to go all out for what will ultimately be certain failure rather than focus on something we have a chance at.

Because we're going to finish (over 38 games, not one offs) above 3 of Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, United, and random challenger X?

Hasn't happened in quite some time. I'd rather take my chances in tournament format.
