Roberto Martinez discussion

well clearly in the minority, but I can't see the attack on him tonight lids, deflected goal, one shouldn't have stood,we were playing a team which boasts world class players, I thought we we robbed by bad officials and you can hardly blame RM for that
Under pressure from the off with the team selection. Took the lead against the run of play and they were unlucky not to have 3 in the first half

60 minutes into the game and it is 1-1.

You need to concede two goals to go out.

Do you

  • take off two players who can either - take the pace out of the game and keep the ball (Osman) or provide a pacey outlet on the break (Del) and replace them with a man who has spectacularly found his form after a mid-season blip (Kone) and another player who has been unfit for weeks (McCarthy), leaving on your little sycophantic shithawk mate Tom Cleverley
  • Make sensible subs, like taking off Cleverley the useless for Pienaar, who came through his last appearance uninjured and arguably the best player in the second half vs Swansea - a specialist in ball retention and moving it quickly in counter-attacks
Nah, definitely much better to leave a centre half exposed at right back against De Bruyne, Navas, Aguero and Sterling. Infinitely better.

What more does the man need by way of motivation - set up for a final, first one in years, against the squirm-worthy barnyard oddities across the park, and going into the game with a lead.

You know what you're gonna get at CITY. We all know what you're gonna get.

BOB doesn't seem sure of what you're gonna get.

Deulofeu was limping before he got subbed, thought we played well, but were just up against a hell of a team playing quality football.. Of course we still backed off every time they got the ball, but played well. Lost by one goal over two games against City in a semi final..
I'm not gonna give anyone grief about that.

I think the point about Deulofeu is correct - he was either injured or shot to pieces. Considering Kone can usually hold it up and gets more out of rom I don't think that was a ridiculous sub.

He's not good enough, City game doesn't even come into it

Newcastle will come at us in the opening 15 mins knowing the fans are going to turn toxic the min it gets on top

The lack of drive and effort is a major concern for me, We will always lack there quality but something we always had was fight, I can't remember a shot after there 3rd with 20 mins left
Are you the same Darth Vadar who was criticising me for having the same thoughts 15 minutes ago?
