That's irrelevant. City had the players yesterday to win them a big game, they still needed the help of the ref. Due to those two factors, it is not fair to judge Martinez on that performance as not being good enough. It was good enough for 70 minutes until Atkinson stepped in.

Focus on us. It's up to the club, the team and the fans and the manager, as one, to get a run together - starting with Carlisle.

Nobody better than Martinez is available for the moment. That is a fact. Deal with it and let's get ourselves together. We lost out in a semi-final to the best team in the country, somewhat unfairly as well. It happens.

We got in Atkinson's face yesterday. His comment to Jagielka proves he was never going to give us anything. Sums him up as a person.

Same as Jones in the Chelsea game. When confronted, he told the players 'I got nothing wrong all game'. You can't win against that, i'm sorry.

Wouldn't have mattered if our players had been in Atkinson's ear all night last night. When the ref decides to make up a rule on the spot, you're not gonna get the rub of the green are you.

No, not the only reason we lost last night, but certainly a key factor.

Totally disagree. There's tons of managers out there who can organise a defence better than Martinez.

No amount of 'pulling together', 'lets all back the lads', 'lets all get behind the team' and 'lets wait until the end of the season' can change the fact that Martinez has a horrendous track record of being unable to organise a defence dating back years (one season the exception, when he inherited a well-drilled defence and didn't try to enforce his stupid ideas on the defence at that point).

He hasn't learnt any lessons in 18 months so I'm not sure why people expect him to learn any in the next 4 months.
