Roberto Martinez discussion

Do you think those teams are successful because they argue with the referee?

There's more to it than that!

And there have been successful managers who have cultivated sporting behaviour in their teams.
It's an aspect of it. Keane, Veiria up to Terry and the like don't give the refs a break

Thing is, and it is strange, I can see the kernal of a boss manager. But, He isnt helping him self.

You want to sit him a room, and show him how a team sees out being 3 1 up, away, with what, an hour to go? In a semi final.

And I just dont believe that he is a stupid man.

I like him. I really do, and I do not want some "latest great thing" here. I want him to show he has the intelligence to see it for himself.

I posted similar last winter btw. *sigh*

He's only 42 - young for a manager.

In the same way we go on about our young players fulfilling their potential, same can probably be said of Martinez. He's got loads of flaws but I reckon he'll be a very good manager one day

get a new/another coach in alongside him?
No manager worth his salt would allow that unless it was his idea. He'd feel and look totally undermined. Even I wouldn't want that for him, he alone with this current set up has to get us going ASAP. Doubt he will, like.

I expected City's £500million team to 'come back into it' at home. They did it down to a deflection and a goal that shouldn't have counted.

They beat us with a quality piece of play from two world class individuals to capitalise on a deflated defence and slack marking from Stones and Jags...

I'm not arsed about any of that.

Then it's going to give you a distorted view.

Kind of I guess.

Reckon an hour or so nattering to Alex Ferguson wouldnt be a total waste of his time.

He's been managing for almost 9 years mate.

And he's still making the same mistakes.

Well I don't want to see our players doing this:
