2-7-1 mate, new tactic.I always thought Bobby was innovative as a tactician but two at the back?
Reminds me of a pacy Bilyaletdinov, he can go stretches of games doing nothing at all worthwhile and then score a goal or grab an assist and people forget how crap he is most of the time.
Well we do actually currently play a 2-1-3-3-1 formation.

Van Dijk looked a good bet of making the step up. He was CL cup tied this Summer, but you can bet when the Summer window spins around again (or even January for some clubs who've been knocked out) a CL team wlll be in for him. I think we had our chance to get him and he'll be out of reach now.
But Dave, he plays in Scotland, you have stated time and time again that players from the Scottish leagues cant make the step up down here.

Set pieces they were hopeless. The signs were there. I expect a manager of the calibre of Martinez to have taken a mental note of that and acted on it.
Only when we have control of the ball and are maintaining possession, it is much flatter when we defend.
He just wants to moan about the poor transfer if Van Dijk isn't as good as he wants.

I'm not mate, I'm saying all this crap talk of "SHOW UZ DER STATZZZ" is a bit silly, as if we look at the stats we should sack the whole team and just start fresh in the conference this season.
Also if it wasn't for McGeady in our last few games we'd be screaming to sack Martinez, as he was the only one that looked actually arsed. True, frustrating player, but he tries and wants to prove himself. For those 2 same reasons we adored Stracqualursi, and he had the technical ability of a desk lamp.

He's played in Holland and is a Dutch U21 international and will shortly get a full cap according to observers. He stands out from that Celtic team like a colossus.
The lad is destined for a great career at CB. Last one I thought coming through that was as good as him was Pique at United.
