McGeady bares comparison with Mirallas in terms of stats this season. From the OS:

McGeady

Chances created 7
Assists 1
Goals 1

Mirallas

Chances created 7
Assists 0
Goals 2

It's utter tosh to run down McGeady as a player who doesn't deserve his place. If you run him down you need to turn your sights on a few other people too.

No, you can't have the glasses.

Unfortunately they would be lost on a Fumer like your good self.

The glasses are for those of us who watch EFC for pleasure.....not for boys who want to make themselves look ridiculous on internet message boards.

There's no point in saying he's 'crap'. He obviously isn't is he? The feller can get crosses off from pretty much zero space to play with. If one of the gobsh1tes in the box would actually gamble and go near post there's goals here for us.

Out wide he's been our only consistent performer: Atsu no; Mirallas, poor apart from the Wolfsburg game and half a game against Arsenal'; Lukaku, fish out of water out there; Pienaar, good against Leicester but not a player who'll create from wide.

I despair if people think a creative player like McGeady is 'crap'. I think it shows the old Sgt Major Moyes mentality on what you need out wide. I dont give a flying one if he makes all kinds of mistakes, as long as he does something in a game that forces a crucial moment for us.

Agree, McGeady will frustrate a lot because of his inconsistency but he's one of the few players in the squad that's capable of a moment of magic, of creating a goal out of nothing.

Still playing him in front of hibbert against a winger like di maria is suicide. He's not great in support defensively.

No he's not. Neither are the other wide players we have other than Pienaar though.

I think Coleman will be back on Sunday, tbh. If so, I'd play McGeady on the other side. Funnily enough, though the two are international team mates I dont see an awful lot of understanding developing on the right. McGeady is defo best deployed on the left.
