Fully agree with that. Building the style will inevitably come with pitfalls. Where I'd like to see some progress is the way we close out games and our ability to stiffle when we have a lead. I'd much rather be the team that understand the requirement to win over constantly entertaining. I've seen signs of it in games but we've been a bit naïve to many times this season. I'm prepared to be patient though.

Half a dozen times we've seen Everton play great footy, take the lead and then fail to close out the game by just breaking the game flow up for the opposition. It's that type of 'performance' we need to add to the undoubtedly stylish attacking play.

davek is spot on here - the entire mentality of the club had to be changed and with any change there are lows - but clearly were a
seeing a style of play fitting for Everton. Next step is the draws to wins and the difference is a clear challenge for CL. I defy anyone to not admit that were much more attractive to watch then the previous Manager ( no dig here Moyes was the right man at that time)

We played better football under Moyes.

Sorry but we did, not all the time, but Moyes knew how to win ugly and how to win with style.

Seen us play the most turgid, awful football, at home, this season in years.
