Roberto Martinez discussion

People wanting Moyes back have evidently forgotten the dire games we had under him.

Martinez has earned the right to turn it around, and I have faith he'll do so

I don't want moyes back but I wonder how he would have done with the cash to buy a lukaku/negredo?

Personally I don't think Martinez will change and I would go for koeman before the Yanks get rid of Rodgers and go for him.

I cannot debate with a grassing little girl you are pathetic.
You might not mind losing with our clueless boring football but i follow everton not martinez.

You can debate. We have debated before. Rep is part of the site. Like I said...sorry if you dont like it but it is what it is.

When you post something I want to debate I will reply. when you post something that is just ott to me and adds to the meltfest on here then I will generally just neg rep.

Maybe I am using the site wrong and somebody can guide me on this! ;)

I think his supposed achievements of last season are somewhat exaggerated. He inherited an industrious and hard working team that had finished 6th, and secured a 5th place finish with them. He has then changed that team into a gang of weak fannies that are heading for a bottom half finish.

We don't what Moyes would have done with £28 million - from the evidence at Man Utd he seemed to panic and buy players for positions he already had filled and keep Tom Cleverly as a midfielder

Rogers isn't going anywhere, neither is Koeman, Soton's owners are richer than ours and no chance he'd go to Everton.

This is a bad spell, the team is obviously under transition more than last year and key players are struggling for form or injured - I think he'll realise this more than anyone right now. It's how he reacts to it.

I dare say we play more effective and efficient football under moyes. I can't stand moyes long ball tactic but I'm getting bald watching us passing sideways at the moment.

lets compare the average shot on goal per game now and before, and then there's shot against per game, I'm sure moyes is much better than Martinez.

Anyone calling him to be sacked wants a slap.

I'm spitting acid about him and the players but wanting something like that is just insane. I want him to accept his "philosophy" doesn't work all the time, that certain players can't play in certain positions or with others and others are finished and need to be gotten rid of ASAP.

so much for people saying they'd take a mid-table finish if we won the europa

No, I stand by that.

These games, city away, hull at home, saints away: they don't matter. At all. Win lose whatever, we'll still finish below 5th and above 17th so who cares.

But the performances, oh they matter.

When we start reaching games that do matter again, young boys, west ham etc, we can't be as bad as this anymore. Martinez has to sort this out. And he doesn't seem to be learning the lessons he should be (i.e the 4 up front and no wingers thing just doesn't work, barry is finished, etc.)

Yeah a record points total for the season, exaggerated. Moyes inherited a champion-winning squad and finished 7th, I'm assuming that's not his fault.

Beating Utd home and away, Arsenal and Chelsea at home, exaggerated

Journeymen like Naismith rejuvenated, youngsters like Stones and Barkley brought through, boss transfers like McCarthy and loanees like Luakaku and Deulofeu, exaggerated.

An absolutely boss Europa group stage, exaggerated.

He's having a crap time in the league, but that does not undermine what he did last season. Are we going to forget literally every start of Moyes' season other than the season we finished 4th and his last one?

They're not working hard enough it's that simple, there's not enough drive, determination and heart in that side.

It's as weak as piss and as brittle as toffee. Martinez now needs to prove that he's got big enough bollocks for a job the size of Everton. He needs to get hold of the job and get some spirit back into the side.
