Roberto Martinez discussion

Absolutely love Martinez. If ever a manager was made for a club, it is him for us.

Far more than the previous manager was. Martinez has that little glint in the eye, that extra time for the Evertonian.

A wonderful man.

love the fella.

but my only worry is his transfers.

anyone like to review only his 4 perm transfers?

konechebe and alcatraz are defo wastes of money (wages and fees) imo. would rather have kept vic (jella) and jonny.

mcgiddy wait and see looking good so far

mccarther outstanding.

so his hit rate on perm moves so far imo is 50% but could be less due to mcgiddy.

Jelavic & Heitinga were both rubbish the whole of last season under Moyes and were no loss this season.

Kone has not had a run of games at all before his injury. And crucially, he never had any bad injuries at Wigan or before, this is his first bad one. Just unlucky.

Alcaraz looked decent, apart from in the derby, but his injury record is a worry.

Both McCarthy and Barry have been absolutely boss.

McGeady is too early to judge.

I honestly do not think anyone can say that he has signed a bad player yet, certainly not one where you can say there is cast iron proof/conviction.

These two players wanted to leave as it was a World Cup year, and both have offered nothing to the club in over 12 months.

That isn't right.

In his spell at Sevilla (2 goals in 47 games) he did his knee in and was out for 6 months.

Kone is a shocker lad. Its time people like you catch on. I waited around 1year for people to realise Jelavic was shocking

Personally think the jury is out on kone. When fit will he offer more as a squad player than vic or jelavic?? That's the question, as that was most likely what he was signed for (a squad player who can play a certain way to suit RM)

Alcaraz IMO only becomes a bad signing if he keeps him again next season. I can see why Bobby brought him in...again all down to being a player who knows how RM wants to play. His lack of pace makes him not suitable for a lot of games and his injury record is shocking but as a stop gap for a year whilst Roberto is learning about his new squad, I'd be inclined to give him the benifit of doubt.

McCarthy, Barry, Deleufoe and lukaku all brilliant signings. McGeady at worst a decent squad addition.

Moyes made some bad/average signings and I'd never question his player trading!
