Roberto Martinez discussion

Whatever happened to the bold, brave Martinez that played 2 wingers and stood toe to toe with the big boys?

All last season and today it's keep it tight, pack the midfield with central mids and hope for the best. City were there for the taking imo, they were good going forward but we're always shaky looking at the back and prone to giving us free kicks in dangerous positions. It should have been Mirallas and Deloufeu running at them not Naismith or Kone.

What we saw today was your typical Moyes game against the top 4. Only difference was more passes rather than long balls.

I thought sure that when Galloway went off he would have moved Barry to LB and fetched Besic on to fill the gap in midfield.

Strange choice to bring Browning on, IMO

We haven't really had two fully fit out and out wingers in beards. You are forgetting that Osman played most of the first season with Martinez in a wider role.

We have Oviedo and players out injured who will come back in. I can't see any transfer activity to plug a short term possible gap.
Baines is out for at least 3 months and oviedo is always injured.
Considering browning and galloway are centre backs we need proper cover at left back.
He cannot gamble the next 3/4 months on not having proper cover.
Every other club watchin today will know that a young centre back and kone as helping out will be our weakness

You are kidding right?

He deserves more time but imo you can't play the same team against City that you do against Southampton. Two different classes there and you need different tactics.

I don't think Martinez likes kev much...cannot understand bringing Naismith on instead of him at all in that situation today.
