Roberto Martinez discussion

Still a big Martinez fan but he got the selection wrong in my book and was let down by sub-standard efforts by Barry, Jags,
Coleman and Barkley.

Del Boy made 2 goals at WBA and although he played poorly against LFC, it was
his centre that did the trick. I would have started Del as Lennon is short on the finished product.
Maybe bring on Lennon with 10 to go.

Naismith is a trier but poor quality. Not much of a help for Lukaku either. He had a screamer against Chelsea but that
seems a while ago.

Well-beaten, RM has to regroup and I have to say I hope Cleverley is back soon. At least he can take a decent corner.
As for Miralles, its clear he needs game time but how is he going to get it?

Include those 16 other home games then.

I mean, why wouldn't you include them?
Because I don't have the stats like I say but at best it would be 84 from 129 which is still 45 points dropped at home and that's based on us winning each of his openening 16 home games in charge which he didn't

My biggest concern with Martinez remains: I think he is weak and not commanding enough with his players.

He was finally getting Naismith out of the team, but now after 1 good game he's a regular again. Tim Howard has been gash for all but about 5 games in the past 15 months, but he remains unchallenged.

The only player he's seemingly been brutal with is Mirallas, who has been reduced to a fringe player, when we're crying out for his spark and energy.

But you have the stats for the last three games of that season up until now?

Bit peculiar that, it's like you're trying to make some data look bad for an agenda mate. Careful there.

Only because Cleverley got injured.

I agree though. It'll be a measure of how far we've come when that clown Naismith is never getting a sniff of a game.

Just got the stats mate. In his first 16 home games he got 37 from a possible 48 so in total he is on 73 from a possible 129 at home in the league I'll leave you to judge that. They are the stats.

I only remember that as that's when we chocked after getting so close to CL same way RS and Rodgers chocked after getting so close to title.

The greatest Evertonian in our history died hours before. You don't think this might have affected the players just a little bit too?

Sure they're professionals, but they're human beings too.

Any excuse to have a dig you carts. This site gets worse by the day.

Losing 3 nil to the future Champions is one of those things.

He got it wrong but the players didn't help, too many mistakes and no bottle until the second half.

He's going to have to boot them up the arse going to Arsenal next week.

I don't think it is.

We should be playing with 2 wingers, especially without the fullback threat we've relied on for so long.

Or Kone and a winger. Naismith started over Kone today, and we looked much better when Arouna came on, alas it was too little, too late.
